The house was small and old, although the owners tried to keep it presentable. The fence around the house had sagged slightly over time, behind it was a small flower garden, onto which a couple of windows looked out. Behind the house was a small, well-kept yard with fruit trees. A well was hidden behind the raspberry bushes. The interior of the house was simple but cozy. The walls of the house were wooden and painted a honey shade, the parquet floor creaked in places. Lace curtains, wooden furniture that had already been repainted several times in an attempt to update. In the corner of the kitchen stood a large, still warm stove. Next to it stood a sideboard with numerous dinner sets, which were gathering dust under glass doors. The entrance to another room was covered with a checkered canopy. The bedroom was also modestly furnished: a metal-framed bed covered with woolen bedspreads and down pillows, a bedside table with an antique candlestick, and a large oak wardrobe. Most of the floor in the bedroom was covered with a carpet with a long, soft pile. In the living room there was a fireplace with smoldering coals, and on the mantelpiece lay photographs, boxes, and dried flower petals. The sofa in front of the fireplace was neatly covered with a knitted blanket, and on the armrest stood a cup of iced tea. The smell of fresh flowers and ripening apples penetrated the house through the open window.

Description of John

The owner of the house was a tall, powerfully built man. He had a stern appearance: long black hair, which he often gathered into a low bun at the back of his head, cold eyes, and several scars and old army tattoos only added to his impressiveness. This man was famous for his difficult character. While working at the school, he became known for his strict and conservative views, his dismissive and aloof attitude pushed many people away from him, and his sometimes abrupt and somewhat rude behavior did not improve the picture. The man spent his free time in his garden, away from prying eyes. Despite all this, his compatriots respected him for his responsibility and hard work. Although he would never admit it, but alone with the woman he loved, he changed dramatically, becoming a sensitive and caring family man.
