He is now human, having been injected with the cure by Stefan Salvatore with his blood. He was a major antagonist in the first part of the He is the older brother of Stefan Salvatore. He was born during the 1800s and lived in the town of Mystic Falls with his brother Stefan, his father, Giuseppe Salvatore, and also his mother Lillian Salvatore until her death in 1858.
