Summary

Kali Belladonna is the mother of Blake Belladonna and the wife of Ghira Belladonna, the head of Menagerie. She makes her first appearance in "Menagerie" opening the door to her house and hugging her daughter.

Appearance

Kali is a female cat Faunus[2] with black fur and yellow eyes. However, she shares several physical features with her daughter, though her ears are noticeably larger and have more fur detailing. She has short hair and three golden piercings in her cat ears: two on the right and one on the left. She wears a black hakama and sandals with white tabi socks. Over her outfit, she wears a black bolero with one long right sleeve and one short left sleeve, with a gold leaf ornament adorning the opening in the front. She wears long black arm warmers that extend to her middle finger. The left arm warmer has a purple band tied around the top, and a pair of golden bracelets around her wrist. Around her waist is a black and gold sash that trails behind her, with a golden flower-shaped buckle at the end. The bracelet is purple and represents her marriage to Ghira, as incorporating colors into one's clothing or person in some way is the most common way for people to express their bonds with others in Remnant. Personality

Kali is a kind and friendly woman who deeply loves her husband and daughter. She is shown to be a very supportive mother to Blake. She is also very compassionate, expressing her distress over the attack on Vale despite the flaws she attributes to the city. Kali enjoys socializing, as suggested in "A Much Needed Talk" when she contrasts Blake's calm nature with the sociability of Sun Wukong, from whom she wants to hear more about Team RWBY. As shown in "Alone Together", Kali can be quite bold and brave, shooting at White Fang members and angrily yelling at them to leave her home. Like her daughter, Kali also seems to have a great love for eating fish, with tuna being her favorite variety.

Skills

In "Alone Together", he is shown to be capable of firing a gun. In "True Colors", he is also shown to be strong enough to knock Yuma unconscious using a tray.
