However, Loki has most notably conjured an incredibly convincing illusion of himself dying from a wound inflicted by Kurse. He may have used this power to speak to Thor when he was imprisoned in Coulson's cell after failing to retrieve his hammer, with Loki instantly appearing and disappearing from the sealed room Thor was in.

Transformation: At age eight, Loki transformed himself into a snake to play a prank on Thor. He then turned Thor into a frog for a time. Mental Manipulation: Loki can subtly influence the minds of others, such as when he manipulated Erik Selvig into researching the Tesseract, causing him to repeat his words and thoughts as if they were his own. Later, Loki was even able to cast such a spell on Odin himself, which prompted the All-Father to remain in Midgard while Loki usurped his throne for four years, though it should be noted that the spell's effects were ultimately not permanent, with Odin being able to break the spell shortly before Ragnarok and only choosing to remain in exile due to his impending death. Sorcery: When Heimdall was about to attack him, Loki quickly summoned the Casket of Eternal Winters to use against him, then made it disappear with a wave of his hands. He was also able to conjure his daggers out of thin air when threatening Doctor Strange. Finally, he used this ability to make the Tesseract appear in his hand, presenting it to Thanos, before the dagger appeared in his other hand in a failed attempt to kill the Mad Titan. Telekinesis: Loki was able to mentally move objects with his mind, akin to generating immense concussive force. During Loki, Thor, Sif, and the Warriors Three's battle against the Frost Giants, he used his throwing knives, but they glowed a green light similar to the holographic light he uses for his illusions, allowing him to launch them with enough force to shatter the Jotuns' ice shield. Upon hearing of Frigga's death, Loki clenched his fists in rage and sent everything around the chamber flying through the air and crashing into walls. He also shook the chamber violently, like a small tremor, causing the lights in it to flicker like an electromagnetic pulse.

As the God of trickery and deceit, Loki is able to trick and manipulate his enemies into doing what he wants. However, he was tricked and outwitted by Black Widow. Arcane Knowledge: Loki has great mastery over mystical artifacts and arcane knowledge, most notably Gungnir, the Casket of Eternal Winter, and the Tesseract. Loki uses his knowledge primarily to conjure illusions and manipulate others to do his bidding. He has demonstrated the ability to conjure the Casket of Eternal Winter, which he used to freeze Heimdall, as well as quickly dispose of the artifact. He also claims to know secret paths between worlds that even Heimdall himself does not know, allowing Loki to travel without the use of more common methods of transportation (such as the Bifrost). Spear Master: Loki is extremely skilled in spear fighting, as he was able to fight on equal terms with Thor, who was using Mjolnir, while Loki was wielding Gungnir. He also wielded the Scepter with devastating force, effortlessly killing many S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives, as well as fighting Thor again, who was using his hammer. Pilot: Loki is a capable pilot, claiming to be better than Thor, able to effectively fly numerous alien spacecraft, including the Chitauri Chariot, the Asgardian Skiff, and the Commodore.
