She has also developed a strong willpower, which is shown in her refusal to consume human flesh and blood, even in cases of extreme injury or exposure to human blood, as seen when she refuses Sanemi Shinazugawa's blood after he tries to lure her into consuming his Marechi blood. Her incredible willpower persists even when she is no longer a demon, as when she willingly jumped in front of Inosuke to protect him from his own brother, who had become a demon and was trying to kill the people around him. Nezuko did not hesitate to let the demon eat her.
