Osana Najimi

Osana wears the default female uniform unless customized. She has orange eyes and orange hair tied into twin-tails reaching her knees, with the ends of her hair fading into a light blonde ombré. Her scrunchies, thigh-high stockings, and panties are salmon pink with white polka-dots, and she wears a red bow on the left side of her head. She has a bust size of 1.15. She's 158.5 cm tall (about 5'2").[4] If Osana is eliminated peacefully, she will appear in subsequent weeks with a shoulder-length bob cut, in reference to her conversation with Senpai on Thursday before school. When outside of school, Osana wears normal casual clothing, but always incorporate stockings in some way.Osana and Senpai have been close friends ever since they were very young children. They have always lived next-door to each other, and have always walked to school together. Despite their closeness, Osana is quite rude and harsh towards Senpai; she is always easily irritated and quick to anger when he is around. The reason for this behavior is because Osana has developed romantic feelings for Senpai, but she is afraid of letting him know how she truly feels about him. She doesn't want him to know how she really feels about him, so she is mean to him at almost every opportunity. Amai Odayaka

Amai wears the default school uniform with white slanted mint striped stockings unless customized by the player. She has slightly, wavy shoulder-length light brown hair, pulled back by a light mint green kerchief, mint green eyes and thick brown eyebrows. She has a light mint green apron with a front pocket (later two) and frills at the trims. She wears the "Red Armband of Leadership" with a resemblance of a cupcake on her left arm. If the Cooking Club is disbanded, Amai will remove her armband and apron for the rest of the game.Amai is the president of the school's cooking club. Her culinary skills are far beyond her age, and nothing makes her happier than seeing people enjoy the food that she has prepared. Amai will be absent from school during the first week of gameplay, but she will meet Senpai immediately after the events of Week 1, at a point in time when Senpai is feeling sad and vulnerable. She will quickly forge a bond with him, during a point in time when Senpai deeply needs a new friend. With her kind and caring nature, it's easy to see how Senpai could easily fall for her within a week's time. If nobody stands in her way, Senpai will belong to her in no time at all. Remember: the fastest way to a man's heart is through his stomach!

Kizana Sunobu

Kizana has purple twin-drills held up by two red roses. She has purple eyes, and she wears a black choker with a red rose in the center and purple stockings with red roses and green leaves on them. She also wears the "Red Armband of Leadership" with the 'comedy and tragedy' masks on her left arm. She has a large bust size of 1.35. When outside of school, Kizana wears expensive and flashy clothing.[3] Kizana is the president of the school's drama club. Her short-term goal is to be the most popular girl in school, and her long-term goal is to be the most famous actress who has ever lived. Kizana will be absent during the first two weeks of gameplay, but will set her sights on Senpai as soon as she returns to school. She is convinced that Senpai would make an excellent addition to the drama club, which might be just the thing to take his mind off of the events that he will experience during the first two weeks of gameplay... Her personality is very distasteful, but her beauty and her ability to captivate an audience might be enough to get her into Senpai's heart. She might just be the "Juliet" to his "Romeo"...Kizana is described as snobby, haughty, arrogant, and conceited. YandereDev plans to make her a himedere.[4] YandereDev thinks that she has had a life goal to act ever since she was young.[5] She only wants to be the lead actress.[5] During her leisure time, she experiments with her hair or tries on various expensive dresses.[6]

Oka Ruto

Oka has messy, shoulder-length dark navy blue hair with a fringe hanging down the middle of her face, flowing across her right cheek. Her hair was less messy when she was a child[3]. This was because her mother would comb her hair with love everyday, and they took good care of her. When she grew older, she was responsible for her appearance, and her parents did not treat her like a child anymore. This is where her hair started to become messy and sloppy.[3] Her eyes are light purple. She has large black rings around her eyes due to lack of sleep. Her lips and skin are pale, and the upper half of her face is slightly shadowed. Since she is a club president, she wears a "Red Armband of Leadership" on her left arm. Her bust size is 1. YandereDev stated that she may be the shortest rival.[4] Oka walks very slow, with her hands clasped together and always looking shyly at the ground. As of the June 1st, 2016 Build, Oka wears light blue-grey thigh-high spiderweb stockings and fingerless gloves. Her panties are also black. In the future, Oka will have very pale skin.[5] According to her full body reference, it appears that in the future, Oka will have a pentagram drawn on her armband. Like all Occult Club members, Oka wears a black choker. However, instead of having a crescent moon on it, it has a silver spider. If the Occult Club disbands, she will not wear the choker anymore. In Oka's original design, she was supposed to wear a turtleneck underneath a dark blue blazer. It was scrapped because Oka's model could not support two models of clothing at the same time. As of the April 10th, 2017 Build, Oka can wear this outfit by pressing the A key in the easter egg menu. Oka is the most likely to wear gothic lolita clothing, but she doesn't wear it all the time. When out of school, she usually wears all black clothes with a spiderweb design. YandereDev imagines her wearing something similar to this.[6]Oka is a stalker, but not a yandere, as she is too shy to harm others.

Asu Rito

Asu has tanned skin, short blonde hair with a small ahoge, and sky blue eyes. She wears black and yellow shorts under her skirt and two black wristbands with yellow stripes. She wears yellow swimming goggles on her forehead. She has a black and yellow jacket tied around her waist, and wears the Red Armband of Leadership with a symbol of a person swimming on her left arm. When outside of school, Asu wears boyish clothing with shorts or pants instead of skirts Asu is the president of the school's sports club. She's the top student athlete in the region, and many of her classmates predict that she'll be winning gold medals at the Olympics in a few years. Asu won't actually appear at school until the fifth week of gameplay, but she will quickly make friends with Senpai. Senpai will be feeling drained after the last four weeks, and some exercise might be just what he needs to put his mind off of recent events. Her cheerful and energetic nature makes it very easy for her to make friends - or find her way into someone's heart. Her easygoing attitude and glowing smile might steal Senpai's heart in no time at all...

Muji Kina

Bennett (formerly) Muja Kina is the sixth upcoming rival and a trainee nurse in Yandere Simulator Muja has fair skin, light pink hair, and amethyst colored eyes. She wears a short-sleeved white nurse uniform with a low collar and a nurse's cap. She also wears light pink stockings with a white garter belt and white flat heels. When outside of school, Muja wears casual clothing that is slightly too revealing for her current situation, often due to a button or zipper that she missed.[5]Muja is a young woman whose greatest desire in life is to be helpful to others...although she usually ends up causing more problems than she solves due to her air-headed and klutzy nature. Muja is studying to become a nurse, and will be recieving training from Akademi's school nurse during the sixth week of gameplay. She will become fond of Senpai very quickly, during a point in time when he definitely needs someone taking care of his health. Although she might be a little clumsy and accident-prone, she is a very sweet and caring person, and it's very easy to see how any schoolboy might develop a crush on her - including Senpai...

Mira Rana

Mida has dark brown hair tied up in a ponytail and brown eyes. She's the tallest rival, but her exact height wasn't stated.[3] She has a beauty mark on the bottom left side of her face and red lipstick. She wears a tight black suit jacket with a white dress shirt underneath and a red bra slightly showing. She also wears a tight, short, scarlet skirt, black thigh-length stockings with a black garter belt attached, and red high heels. The Headmaster's Tapes will explain why is she allowed to dress like that.[4] When outside of school, Mida wears revealing, sexy clothing regardless of situation.[5]Mida is a substitute teacher who absolutely loves her job; there is nothing that she enjoys more than having dozens of eyes all directed towards her...especially if those eyes belong to teenage boys. Mida will appear at school in the seventh week of gameplay in order to fill in for an unavailable teacher. She will quickly begin hunting for new 'prey', and Senpai will catch her attention. Her hobby is seducing schoolboys, and so far, no man has ever been able to resist her charms. If she decides that she wants someone, they have no hope of escape. Senpai won't be able to escape her clutches unless someone takes drastic measures...

Osoro Shidesu

Osoro has unkempt, shoulder-length blonde hair and brown eyes. She wears the regular uniform with black shorts underneath her skirt, along with a large, torn jacket hanging off her shoulders. She also has bandages on her muscular arms and legs. She has an 'X' shaped scar on her left cheek. YandereDev has admitted that he's never thought about what Osoro would wear outside of school. He imagines that she would wear something similar to what the woman on the left in this photo wears and would never take off her "cape"[4]Osoro is the leader of the school's gang of delinquents. Very little is known about her past, or her goals. She has been known to be violent, so most people tend to stay away from her out of fear. Osoro will be absent from school for a very long time, and will not make her appearance until the eighth week of gameplay. Against all odds, she will develop a bond with Senpai, who normally keeps his distance from people like Osoro. Senpai and Osoro are polar opposites - so, what kind of experience could possibly cause them to form a friendship? What does Senpai know about her? What does he see inside of her? And what could stop their friendship from blossoming into something deeper?Osoro will most likely have the violent persona, making her unique among the rivals. If she witnesses the player committing murder, she will not run to Senpai, but will attack the player instead.[5] She is the most dangerous girl in school besides Ayano Aishi.[6] She will be suspended from Akademi for one week seven times in a row.[7] The reason for that is that Genka Kunahito and Kocho Shuyona were able to reach an agreement: the faculty and the student council will tolerate the delinquents' behavior for a period of 10 weeks, and give the counselor a chance to reform them. However, if Genka is unable to reform the delinquents within 10 weeks, she will be dismissed from the school. Genka recognized that it would be difficult to reform the delinquents while their biggest influen

Hanako Yamada

Hanako has black hair tied into two pigtails that reach her shoulders with two strands protruding, similar to the first drafts of her appearance. She has a red heart hairpin on the top right side of her hair and she has fair skin.[6] It is also known that she will eventually wear special stockings to make herself stand out,[7] as well as unique panties[8] that suit her personality.[9] When outside of school, Hanako wears casual clothing that leans slightly more toward "cute" than "plain". She would also wear at least one cute accessory per outfit.[10] Hanako is Senpai's younger sister. She loves her big brother more than anything in the world and depends on him for almost everything. She is very possessive of him and becomes upset when he won't spend time with her. After nine weeks of gameplay, Hanako decides that she just can't bear to be enrolled in a different school than her beloved brother, and transfers into his school so that she can be with him all day long. Hanako is deathly afraid that if her brother gets a girlfriend, he'll forget all about her and refuse to spend time with her. She has made it her mission to stop him from getting a girlfriend at all costs so that nobody else can have her big brother's attention. Senpai would never want to do anything that would make his little sister cry... this would spell doom for anyone who has fallen in love with Senpai.

Megami Saikou

Megami has fair skin, rosy cheeks, silver eyes, and thigh-length silver hair with fringed bangs and a protruding ahoge. She wears the Student Council uniform with black stockings, gloves, and a choker necklace with red stitching and bows. She wears the "Red Armband of Leadership" on her left arm reading 生徒会, meaning Student Council written in kanji. Early designs show her with black hair and white accessories, but this was later changed. When outside of school, Megami's clothing would depend heavily on the situation. It would always be something elegant and expensive, but not unnecessarily gaudy.[5] Megami is the heiress to Saikou Corp, the most powerful business conglomerate in Japan. She is impossibly wealthy, a certified genius, has extensive self-defense training, has excelled at everything she has ever attempted to do in her entire life, and has been trained to possess all of the qualities of a perfect leader, to prepare her for the day when she will inherit her father's company. She is also the most beautiful girl in school, the most popular girl in school, AND the student council president, too. Megami has been absent from school for nine weeks under mysterious circumstances that she has not disclosed to anyone. She has still managed to keep up with her schoolwork by attending class through a laptop, and has also been able to manage the school's student council by attending meetings via video call. She is noticeably upset about this; she strongly believes that she should be attending school like a normal student, and is resentful of her current situation, although she is not at liberty to explain the reasons for her absence. Megami, unlike all other characters, is fully aware of the fact that there is a dangerous person on school grounds. Once she arrives at school, she will do absolutely everything in her power to protect the school's population - that includes installing security cameras, hiring security guards, and instating a zero-tolerance policy

Senpai

Taro's default appearance has light skin, charcoal grey eyes, and short, dark hair. Taro wears the default school uniform the player chose. If possible, YandereDev would want him to be slightly taller.[4] This is his default look as he is meant to look like a generic male anime protagonist.[5] Upon starting the game, the player can customize his skin tone, hairstyle, hair color, eye color, eyewear, and facial hair, but if no changes are made or the process is skipped, Taro will appear with his default look.Taro is meant to be plain and average.[6] Info-chan cannot dig up any dark secrets about Taro. He appears to have none at all.[7] Taro is a loner who enjoys nature more than the company of people.[8] Though an introvert, he doesn't seem to be shy. He is normally gentle and considerate, but

Akademi

Akademi is a prestigious post-highschool academy (former high school in early builds) that simulates the feeling of a highschool environment for people who prefer a highschool atmosphere over a college atmosphere. Ayano Aishi, Senpai, the ten rivals and the rest of the students, currently attend this school. Along with the Aishi house and Buraza town, it is the main setting for Yandere Simulator. The school and town will be separated by a winding trail surrounded by trees so that when Ayano is in school, she will not be able to see the town. This is to keep the framerate up, as the town will then not have to be rendered.[1] Akademi is very famous, being synonymous with Harvard or Yale within the in-game universe.[2] Students must be eighteen to enroll in the academy, and it is marketed to high school graduates as a place to continue their education in a school-like setting and environment. Upon joining the academy, a student can decide whether to join as a first, second, or a third year student. Every student will wear the default school uniform unless customized by the player, except for the student council members and teachers, who wear special uniforms. The school size is 145×192.[3]

Kocho Shuyona

Carries taser Kocho Shuyona is an antagonist in Yandere Simulator. He is a faculty member and the headmaster of Akademi. He is the reason behind some of Akademi's strange rules. According to Mysterious Tape #2, he is rumored to be bribing the police and media to stay away from the school for unspecified reasons. He has a secret personality and backstory. He will not factor into gameplay, but he plays a large role in the game's backstory and lore. He works in the Headmaster's Office. In one of the delinquents' tasks, it seems he has alcohol under his desk, implying he may have a developing/ongoing addiction Kocho has short, dark brown hair and glasses. He wears a light blue shirt with a red tie under a green vest. He has light brown pants and dark brown shoes. In the 1980s, he wore a green jacket and held a blue file Kocho was born in 1960. He started his career as the headmaster of Akademi after being hired by Saisho Saikou in 1985. He started recording tapes about his time as headmaster of Akademi shortly after being gifted a tape recorder by Saisho. At some point, he was blackmailed by Info-chan into letting her use the Info Club room as her own personal room. He attempted to find out who she was, but was unsuccessful. Kocho Shuyona is the headmaster of Ayano's school. He is 60 years old, and he has held the same position since 1985, when the prestigious school first opened its doors. At the beginning of his career, he was a cheerful, optimistic, energetic young man who was full of hope for the future. However, over the course of his long tenure, his demeanor has changed drastically. He has become a cynical, pessimistic, world-weary old man who seems to have completely lost his faith in the world - especially its youth. What happened over the course of the past few decades to change this man in such drastic ways? What regrets does he live with? What kind of decisions will he make now, at the end of his career, now that he has so little to lose?
