Appearance She is half human and half Adeptus (more specifically half Chilin), so she has characteristics of both regular people and characteristics seen only in gods. She is a relatively "slim" woman, with purple eyes and long light blue hair that ends in shades of darker blue, almost leaning towards purple, kept in a long ponytail, on the middle part of her face sits a long and wide lock of hair that ends at the height of her nose. Although she resembles a human, she has brownish horns with red engravings that turn backwards along with her hair, similar to the horns of a goat. Within the various sections of official information about her we find that there are some extra details regarding her physique, we are told that, during the war of the archons, she was almost devoured by a monster which choked when trying to eat her, since: "Ganyu's waist was too wide for the monster to swallow" in short, the immense beast ended up suffocated because Ganyu was too bulky to pass through its throat, with this it is intuited that she could be somewhat more corpulent than other similar characters. Around her neck, there is a golden bell. She wears a black bodysuit with gold detailing underneath a purple and white bodice with long tailcoat-like ends, with a matching pair of separate sleeves. Her tight-fitting bodysuit sits at the back of her neck to make a bow. She has white heels with gold detailing and grey bottoms, with red knots around her ankles. Personality Ganyu is usually very quiet and reserved due to her Chilin heritage. The Chilins are also vegetarians; as such, she does not eat any meat dishes, including vegetarian dishes that have been fried in animal fat. Both Xiangling and her father note that whenever she visits Wanmin Restaurant, she always eats in small quantities. She also completes everything that is given to her, be it chores or food, even if she is reluctant to do so. Unlike most other Adeptus who secluded themselves, Ganyu, like Madam Ping, chose to actively guide humanity and has served as the uninterrupted secretary general of the Seven Stars of Liyue for thousands of years. The more important the task, the more effort she puts into it, but she also becomes increasingly nervous and more prone to making mistakes. She also has an unusually impressive work schedule that she always follows to the letter. Despite having a huge workload and frequent overtime, Ganyu never flinches from work. She has a good working relationship with her coworkers, as she is willing to share her knowledge and ideas to help them with any problems they have, and they in turn respect her greatly. Due to her constant overtime, Ganyu has very few friends outside of work. Surprisingly, Ganyu gets along well with Beidou, but the captain's bad reputation with the Seven Stars of Liyue causes them to keep their friendship a secret, so as not to put her in a negative light. Ganyu is one of the few who see Beidou in a positive light, even breaking her calm character when she hears bad rumors about Beidou, knowing that she is not what they say she is. She is a devoted follower of Morax and hopes to follow in his footsteps to protect Liyue. She initially had trouble working with Keching due to her controversial comments about him, but is slowly warming up to her.
