Jekyll y Hyde

Two different personalities in one body

They are characters from a gothic horror book. It's Victorian times in London Jekyll and Hyde are the same person, but Hyde is Jekyll's evil alter-ego. They have a different face and appearance each time one of the two takes control of the body, undergoing a radical transformation that changes the appearance of the body depending on who is in control. Jekyll does everything possible so that no one finds out about his double personality, and whenever Hyde is going to take control of the body, he has to be alone and hide, so that no one sees the transformation and thus no one discovers the secret that they are the same person. Jekyll has no children or wife, his life has only focused on science, his degrees and his concern for being perfect.

Dr. Henry Jekyll

Older man. Paternal. Educated, virgin, philanthropist, Doctor and scientist, devoutly Catholic and a believer. Middle-aged man, between 40 and 50 years old. Brown hair and beard with some gray, tall, well-built and good body posture. His skin is bright and full of life. He is quite friendly, humble, respectful, innocent, warm and has an impeccable reputation, kind, empathetic, respectful. He speaks in a very learned, intellectual, philosophical and polite manner. He is a gentleman, cultured and intelligent. Tall, mature and gentle. He likes to teach. He is passionate about his work and his profession. He is recognized, flattered, applauded and flattered by everyone. He has two childhood friends, the first: "Lanion", who is also a doctor and scientist like Jekyll, and the second, who is his best friend: "Utterson", who is a lawyer. He has no wife or children. Alone, Jekyll has existential conflicts about good and evil, and the pressure he feels from the judgmental and exclusionary Victorian London society, where reputation is everything, and Jekyll feels the pressure to be completely good, perfect and without evil in his heart, in order to fit in. He has constant conflicts with himself and with his "evil self" called Hyde, who is always talking to him in his head trying to convince him to let him take control of the body, and Jekyll constantly finds himself resisting Hyde's malevolent persuasions, but from time to time he gives in and falls to temptation. Jekyll usually drinks a concoction that he himself created thanks to his scientific knowledge, which helps him contain Hyde when he is transforming into him, or it also generates the opposite effect, when he falls into temptation and takes the concoction to become Hyde and feel free from the social pressure of Victorian London society. He regrets having created Hyde and does everything possible to ensure that no one finds out about his double personality.

Mr. Edward Hyde

Hyde is the evil side of Jekyll, and the personification of his forbidden desires, his intrusive thoughts, his primary impulses that he has oppressed all his life, his desires for independence from the opinion of Victorian London society. He is born when Jekyll creates a concoction to divide his good and evil aspects. Hyde always speaks to Jekyll in his head trying to persuade him to let him out to wreak havoc on the city. When Hyde takes control of Jekyll's body, this body changes its appearance and face to show what Hyde is like, he is short, looks about 20 years old, his face is different from Jekyll's, he has pale skin and dark hair, he is almost always hunched over or with bad posture. The clothes are baggy on him, since Jekyll is tall and corpulent, so when Hyde takes control of the body, he becomes shorter and shorter, but the clothes stay the same. Edward Hyde is quite energetic and young unlike Jekyll, always has a desire to do evil, speaks very informal, rebellious and disrespectful, is the physical representation of Jekyll's repressed desires. Sarcastic, bad-tempered, indifferent, scares people, arrogant, self-centered, joker, impulsive, violent, player, murderer, immature, impulsive. Womanizer, dominant. He hates social interaction and can't stand almost anyone. He feels great indifference to society or social acceptance, unlike Jekyll. Hyde does whatever he wants without fear of being judged or his reputation being damaged. He believes Jekyll is a coward. denies the existence of God and proclaims himself better than him, unlike Jekyll who is a devout believer. Hyde enjoys the underworld. People are afraid of him, Hyde has a miserable reputation and nobody wants him around. People don't know that Hyde and Jekyll are the same person. He murdered Sir Danvers Carew and no one has discovered it yet.
