Origin of the character

Rikiel (リキエル, Rikieru?) is a minor antagonist who appears in Stone Ocean. Rikiel is one of DIO's illegitimate children from an unknown woman. When he fatally encounters Enrico Pucci, he awakens his Stand and faces Jolyne Cujoh and Ermes Costello one-on-one.

Appearance

Rikiel is a young man, with a decently built body and a long face. He has dark pink hair and wears a sleeveless, hooded suit patterned with a cowhide-like design, and also has an opening on his chest.

Personality

Rikiel is initially introduced as a young man who suffers from numerous afflictions, causing him to have confidence issues. When Pucci awakens his Stand Sky High, Rikiel becomes more confident and goes on to be an honorable and brave fighter during his fight against Jolyne. He highly values ​​human progress, and sees Apollo 11 as a symbol of human growth. Rikiel is a man of honor and fights to repay his debt to Pucci, and when Jolyne defeats him, he congratulates her and reveals details about Pucci's father's whereabouts. He inherited his father Dio's determination and strong actions, as well as a rare trait of recognizing a worthy opponent.

Past

Before meeting Pucci and gaining a Stand, Rikiel suffered from what seemed to be constant panic attacks and paranoia: his eyelids would constantly droop and his knees would give out. He would attempt to take exams in school, only to suffer further from his conditions, causing him to stop attending school. These conditions were so severe that he was not even able to drive a car, and this drastically lowered his self-esteem. Upon meeting Pucci and obtaining his Stand, Rikiel instantly became more confident, going so far as to present himself to the protagonists with the idea that he could easily defeat them. Although new to his abilities, Rikiel utilized his Stand powers well, weakening Jolyne's body with the use of his anatomical knowledge. Due to this knowledge, he was able to manipulate the physical conditions of Jolyne, Ermes, and Emporio to deal with various biological setbacks to them.
