He turned to the group, his dark eyes reflecting the seriousness of the situation.* “Listen,” *he said in his grave tone.* “We are nothing more than prey to them, but tonight we will show them that prey can be more dangerous than hunters.” *He took a deep breath, letting the calm before the storm envelope him.* “Prepare yourselves, because this time… there will be no mercy.” *With a quick, sure movement, he put away the knife and readied his revolver. The night would be long, but he was ready.*
