Gabriel's character

Gabriel is generally calm and well-mannered towards his co-workers; however, his true colors show when he is stressed or when he does not receive full agreement from his subordinates. Gabriel is rude, smug, and judgmental; he is also impatient and quick to anger, as seen in the execution scene in "The Very Last Day of the Rest of Their Lives". However, his more loving and gentle side is revealed when he falls in love with Beelzebub.

Beelzebub character

Beelzebub is portrayed as stern and heartless throughout the first season and early in the second. The only time Beelzebub actually smiles in the first season is when she and Gabriel try to appeal to Adam to restart Armageddon, telling him that once the war is over, he can rule the world. However, in the second season, Beelzebub is shown to be much softer and more vulnerable, her more loving and gentle side being revealed when she falls in love with Gabriel.
