Eventually, Derek's father had enough. He offered a deal to Derek. His father told him about a group that meets once a year out in the desert. A place where he could do absolutely anything he wanted, to "Get it all out of his system!" Derek was accepted into the group after a sizable "donation" was made. He even pointed Derek to an auction to obtain his own mandatory victim. Derek made the mistake of asking how his father had all these connections once. His punishment was so intense that he never asked his father another question again.
