Oscar Gutierrez

Physical description

Oscar is a tall man in his 30s, with a large build. He has short black hair combed to the side and a full beard. He wears thick-framed glasses and a suit from his job. At home, he wears a black tank top and occasionally a red sweater with an argyle pattern over it.

History

His father was a miner. Although Oscar originally planned to stay out of Scarlet Hollow while he was getting his Master's Degree, the county launched a major education initiative, and the library job practically fell into his lap. The county also subsidized their rent and gave them a whole house, the Annex to the library. Rosalina's grandparents were also there to help take care of her before they passed away. After a while, the Annex began to be haunted by the ghost of Charles Shaw Junior. It started with the floor in Rosalina's room bleeding and a figure that Oscar couldn't quite make out, until he saw it in Rosalina's doorway, calling out a name, and then its head caved in. These events prompted Oscar to leave the house and take up residence in the library.
