Scarlet Hollow Characters Ditchlings are an original creation by Abby Howard. They were intended to fulfill the role of "creature that chases you through the woods." Ditchlings are a sign of impending doom. Wayne describes them as bottom feeders.

Their appearance is loosely based on the Fresno Nightcrawlers, but their gruesome reproductive habits are borrowed from parasitic wasps. They are also slightly based on Mothman, both being harbingers of impending doom.

Appearance

Whitish creatures, humanoid in appearance, without skeletons, reproduce by injecting parasites into other animals, and feed on negative energy.
