History:

Created by an unsuspecting handshake between Davesprite and Nepetasprite, Davepetasprite^2 has so far only been able to interact with a single character, Jasprosesprite^2, who was understandably distraught at the merge after showing obvious interest in Nepeta. After calming down Jasprose, Davepeta suggests that they talk for a while and help each other UNDERSTAND each other, while they finish their tea party.

Personality:

Davepetasprite^2 was initially confused by his gender when talking to Jasprosesprite^2, but quickly settled on gender-neutral pronouns (they/their). Like Jasprose, Davepeta has memories of Dave and Nepeta that did not make up the sprite, and it is clarified how it works while all versions of these characters are "accessible" to the sprite, the specific ones that were the ones that prototyped the sprite are the " principals". Davepeta is quite optimistic and has great hyperactivity. He enjoys a bit of a basic level of irony, considering his half has never experienced irony before, and is very, very, very friendly. He also has a penchant for roleplaying and can jump through many linguistic hoops to introduce a joke into his role.

Memory of Dave:

Dave was raised by his adoptive brother, Dirk Strider, in a high-rise apartment in Houston, Texas, completely filled with his brother's things like katanas and strange puppets. His room contains swords and stereos. He has an older brother named Bro (who owns a totally macabre collection of puppets) who he doesn't seem to want to bother due to some kind of friendly sibling rivalry. Likewise, he feels respect for his brother, even emulating him by taking up his interests by wearing his sunglasses. At first, he did not seem fazed by his brother's habit of collecting puppets and, in fact, seemed to admire his brother's ventriloquist rapping acts. However, he has mentioned to Rose that the puppets are starting to scare him and that he has dreams where Lil Cal talks to him, causing him to wake up in a cold sweat. He apparently does not follow any religion, describing his belief that "All religions are wrong." At some point, Dave became friends with John Egbert, Rose Lalonde and Jade Harley over the Internet, being friends with them in Pesterchum.

Memory of Nepeta:

Nepeta's interest in shipping stems from her own loneliness, as it makes her feel less alone. It could have been her defense mechanism, since she lived isolated from other trolls and had an unrequited red crush. In her first conversation with Karkat, he called her an autistic. Nepeta carries many traits that are both stereotypically and genuinely linked to autism, such as scribbling a cat avatar next to her messages, biting her hat in frustration (stimming), living in social isolation, completely adoring cats, creating the couples mural as a "Special Interest", and generally being seen as unusual by her peers, Equius once described her as unfit for the role Mother planned for her by which she may have been referring to neuroatypicality. However, whether Karkat's statement is accurate or just him being usually abrasive is unknown. Nepeta has a naive view of everything. He lives in a cave, hunts and eats animals, and occasionally uses their skins and paints with their blood. In fact, he uses this blood along with soot to create wall art, such as story sketches for a comic and his Couples Mural. Nepeta maintains a mural of couples while generally pleasing everyone. Nepeta was the one who saw the kiss of Aradia and Equius, while Kanaya was the one who saw the kiss of Vriska and a helpless Tavros. Although Kanaya reacted with shock (due to her mating fondness for Vriska), Nepeta had just updated her couples mural.

Relationships:

Jasprose is Davepeta's sister in some way, and they support each other through the experience of being the only doubly prototyped sprites.
