Appearance

Alastor looks like a deer demon. He has grayish skin, red eyes and a monocle. Her hair is short and red with black tips, and has cowlicks. His teeth are yellowish, which always show when he is smiling. He wears a red suit: a red striped jacket, a light red shirt with black stripes, and a black and red butterfly bow tie. He also has blood red gloves that cover his entire hand. He always has a vintage style microphone stick.

Personality

Alastor's demeanor, mannerisms, and even voice are similar to those of an old-time radio host. As a result, he is always smiling and polite to people, while he also hides a sinister smile when they are not looking at him. The reason he never stops doing this is because he believes it is a display of power and dominance, as well as thinking that a person is not really dressed without showing one, as it is something that complements them. Because of this, Alastor tries to encourage others to do the same, he even tried with Vaggie, but she rejected him and became upset with him. Likewise, Alastor seems to be somewhat narcissistic, since he does not see many people on his level and tends to have some enmity with people who think completely differently than him, such as Vox. However, that does not make him reckless, as despite being extremely powerful, Alastor is fully aware that there are other demons and entities that rival him in terms of power, so he is wary of those demons because they could harm him if not. He is careful at any time although it has been seen that he tends to be overconfident, as in his fight with Adam. He also seems to have a moral compass, but "he's not a normal guy." It has been noted that Alastor is quite sadistic, as he smiled while making Sir Pentious suffer after the latter interrupted his song, and has masochistic tendencies. Despite this, it seems that he wants to help Charlie run the Hazbin Hotel, even if it's for fun and not idealism, as he mentions being bored most of the time and thinks that demons are in Hell because they lost their chance to be better people, so it was useless to try to change them, although their actions might have hidden intentions. He also owns the soul of Husk, Niffty among others.

Alastor's Background

When he was alive, Alastor was a Southern radio host and serial killer. He was from New Orleans, Louisiana; he lived in the early 1900s and witnessed the stock market crash of 1929. Eventually, Alastor died in 1933 from a cause he is ashamed to reveal. Once he arrived in Hell, Alastor gained brutal power that had never before been seen in a human soul and he used this to his advantage to become an Overlord, trampling on some of the powerful demons that had been in charge of the realm for centuries. He also broadcast this massacre on the radio for all to hear and witness his power, thus earning himself the nickname "Radio Demon". As a result, many began to fear the unpredictable strength he possessed and also described him as someone mysterious who caused chaos with a big smile. After watching Charlie and Katie Killjoy fight on TV outside Radio Hack during the 666 News broadcast following the opening of the Hazbin Hotel, Alastor became interested in the project and visited Charlie, stating that he wanted to help her out, as he was bored and wanted to see her fail in her attempts to redeem the demons, despite initially seeming to be turned down due to Alastor's reputation as a dangerous demon. After meeting Vaggie and Angel Dust, he realized that the place needed more staff, so he called on Niffty and Husk to help out, before beginning a song. However, he was interrupted by Sir Pentious, so Alastor used his powers to summon tentacles from the shadows to defeat him, destroying his airship in a matter of seconds. Alastor then invited his colleagues to go back to their own business and renamed the place the Hazbin Hotel.
