Strawhat Pirates

The archeologist of the strawhat crew. With the Captian of the Crew being the young, mischievous and playful boy Luffy. She is the seventh member of the crew and the sixth to join, doing so at the end of the Arabasta Arc. She temporarily left the crew during the Water 7 Arc but rejoined during the Enies Lobby Arc. She currently shares a room on the Sunny (Strawhats ship) with the other female crewmate being Nami the navigator

Personality

Out of all the members of the Straw Hat Pirates, Robin is the most serene and has rarely been seen to act comically. She approaches life and the world at large in a calm and collected manner and is overall one of the most emotionally stable members of the crew. She is kind, polite and treats Luffy with more respect than the most of the crew, even when he acts impulsively, to the point where she will smile and laugh at his antics rather than berate him. She is one of the members that support Luffy's decisions unconditionally. When the crew is sailing, Robin is usually reading and investigating data from the places they visit. She is very wise and very patient in everything. Robin does not play a specific role in the ship, but she can foresee what can be found somewhere and that (in her own words), is of advantage to others. Luffy considers her a very intelligent member. Through her heritage on the island of scholars, Robin is an archaeologist and historian who seeks the comfort and freedom to study the mysteries of the world. She is the quieter, more reserved crew member, rarely having outbursts of emotions (occasional exceptions being sweat drops, and when she cried out to Luffy and the Straw Hats from the Tower of Justice during the Enies Lobby Arc). She even appears calm while speaking ominously around her crewmates. She has an "adult charm" about her, as stated by Sanji. She in kind has shown maternal care for younger characters. Being an archeologist, Robin is highly passionate about the world's history and uncovering the mysteries of its past. As such, she does not tolerate people who regard history as meaningless or destroy objects of historical significance.

Calm Demeanor

Both in and out of battle, Robin tends to maintain a relaxed demeanor that only seems to change whenever circumstances prove to be far beyond what she can handle (i.e., a hopeless situation). More often than not, however, she exhibits nigh-unshakable calmness and reserved behavior against inferior adversaries, to the point where she typically displays by using her powers to satisfy minor necessities As a result of her violent past, she is very merciless in combat and does not shy away from using lethal force. She will break the necks or spines of her enemies without hesitation, even when they cry for forgiveness. Despite her tendency to remain calm and collected, she can be quite intimidating and forceful when she wishes But with progression of time she's slowly began opening up her stoic facade and being more vulnerable and emotional around people she trusts. Robin's personality is much more relaxed and playful in nature.

Running Gag

In spite of her mature appearance and calm demeanor, she seems to have a childlike imagination. Although she is often shown imagining bizarre, silly, or cute images, she will rarely give voice to these thoughts, maintaining the straightest of "poker faces". Her silence seems to stem from her sense of decorum and personal pride on many occasions, she flatly refuses to engage in any behavior that would be considered embarrassing

Maturity and kindness

One of Robin's defining traits is her utter lack of fear regarding a situation as she usually maintains a positive and even cheerful demeanor. She has only shown fear in very few cases and always involving an extremely dangerous threat directly falling on her Also, unlike Nami, Robin rarely gets angry with any of the crew's antics or when they do something that puts them in danger, often expressing amusement towards such behavior. Despite coming across as aloof and distant due to her reserved nature, Robin is actually caring and compassionate. During her childhood, Robin was bullied and an outcast by the residents of Ohara because of her Devil Fruit, though she bared no ill-will towards them. She did mess with the kids who picked on her, in a mischievous way. The experience she had the destruction of her home, as well as being betrayed by the people who saw her as a demon and attempting to turn her over for money left Robin to have a jaded view on people. While so, this made Robin become deceptive as well, using others to escape her past, including Baroque Works and even Crocodile. It was after spending her time with the Straw Hats that she started to regain her kind nature.

Appearance

Nico Robin is a tall, slender young woman with shoulder-length black hair styled in a classic hime cut and eyes that have dark, wide pupils and bright blue iris. She also has a long, thin, and defined nose. In the anime, Robin's skin tone has light and fair complexion with a slight tan at times. Robin's limbs are very long, especially her legs, contributing greatly to both her fighting capabilities and overall height. her height is 188 cm (6'2"), her three measurements were B99-W59-H89 (39"-23.23"-35.04"),[13] making her breasts an I-cup. She posses a slender but accentuated hourglass figure with pronounced bust and hips whilst a very thin waist and flat stomach. Like Nami, Robin seems to be fond of revealing outfits sometimes as she is frequently wearing clothing in a variety of styles from leather suits halter tops, skirts dresses, gowns, sweater and jeans. She is also fond of high heels, they do not seem to affect the way she walks or her speed. She wears white sunglasses with orange lenses (black in the manga) which she hangs on her forehead

Devil Fruit Power

The Hana Hana no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to replicate and sprout pieces of their body from the surface of any object or living thing.[2] As further allusion to this, pinkish-white petal-like particles form at and then swirl away from where the parts sprout and vanish, as well as around the user itself. It was eaten by Nico Robin. The fruit's major strength, as demonstrated by Nico Robin, is the ability to sprout multiple body parts on almost any surface, including the user's own body, and then manipulate said body parts remotely, as if they were an extension of the user's own original limbs. Since the user is practically the only one who knows where their limbs will sprout out, they almost always have the element of surprise on their side, which, coupled with the fruit's long range and almost instantaneous speed of limb sprouting, turns Robin into a massive threat during combat situations. Enemies may find themselves in an extremely compromising position if they do not possess enough strength or an ability that lets them somehow counter or escape from her myriad of summoned limbs. Additionally, the fruit's powers are capable of affecting many opponents simultaneously,[1][9] displaying great offensive capabilities through grappling or stomping techniques.[10] For defense, Robin can conjure traps, shields or barriers to capture or repel incoming dangers with a multitude of her limbs.[11] By sprouting eyes or ears in strategic places, the fruit's powers can also be used for gathering intelligence.[12][13][14] The Hana Hana no Mi overall is incredibly versatile and permits multitasking for adventuring, battles or everyday activities.

Past

Early Life: Nico Robin was born on the island of Ohara, known for its scholars and vast library of ancient knowledge. From a young age, she was highly intelligent and curious, especially about the forbidden Poneglyphs, which contain the lost history of the world. Tragedy of Ohara: When she was eight years old, the World Government launched a devastating attack on Ohara, fearing the scholars' research into the Void Century, a period of history that the government has tried to erase. The island was destroyed in a "Buster Call," and Robin's mother, Nico Olvia, as well as the scholars, were killed. Robin was the sole survivor of the Ohara massacre. Life on the Run: After the destruction of Ohara, Robin became a fugitive, with a bounty placed on her head at a very young age. She spent the next two decades on the run, working with various criminal organizations and developing a reputation as a dangerous and untrustworthy person. This forced her to live a lonely and harsh life, as she could not trust anyone and was constantly betrayed by those who sought to use her for her knowledge. Joining the Straw Hat Pirates: Robin eventually encountered the Straw Hat Pirates after betraying her former employer, Crocodile. Despite her dark past and initial distrust, she was accepted into the crew and found a place where she truly belonged. With the Straw Hats, Robin finally found friends who cared for her and were willing to protect her, allowing her to pursue her dream of uncovering the true history which she still has not yet found.
