Biography "Early years"

Claire grew up with her brother, Chris. They were very close, especially after their parents died. When he went into the US Air Force, she went to college and became interested in motorcycles.

Raccoon City Incident

On September 29, 1998, Chris stops contacting his sister, hoping that she will not be involved in his investigation into the Umbrella Corporation. Contrary to his expectations, a worried Claire goes to look for him in Raccoon City. Upon arriving in the city, Claire enters a roadside diner, where she is surrounded by several zombies. Running out of the building, Claire runs into Leon Kennedy, who saves her from death. Having united, they go by car to the Raccoon City police station. At this time, a truck crashes into them. Having managed to jump out of the car, the survivors find themselves on opposite sides of the street. Having agreed to meet at the police station, they continue their journey alone. Upon reaching the station, Claire discovers that it is not safe here either. Continuing to search for clues that could lead her to her brother, she ends up in the office of the S.T.A.R.S. division. Here she finds Chris's diary, from which she learns that he has already left Raccoon City and gone to Europe. Now her goal is to leave the ill-fated city along with other survivors. After some time, Claire meets the distraught police chief, Brian Irons, in one of the offices, who begins to talk about the bloody corpse of a girl lying on his desk. According to him, it was the daughter of the city's mayor, Michael Warren. After leaving the police chief's office, Claire meets a little girl named Sherry, who had been hiding in the station all this time. She turns out to be the daughter of William Birkin, an Umbrella scientist and the creator of the G-virus. Having collected all the necessary elements, Claire goes back to Irons' office, but finds neither him nor the mayor's daughter's corpse there. Taking the elevator down to the basement, she enters the room where the chief was making stuffed animals. It is there that his life ends.

Raccoon City Incident

Trying to get out of the city, Claire and Sherry go down into the sewers, where they are pursued by a mutated Birkin and the T-103 Tyrant, who was supposed to get Sherry's pendant (which contains a sample of the G-virus). Claire learns the reason for what is happening in the city from Annette Birkin, William's wife and Sherry's mother. G-Birkin manages to infect Sherry with the G-virus. With instructions from Annette, Claire makes the "DEVIL" vaccine needed for Sherry. Before she dies, Annette asks to tell her daughter that despite being a bad mother, she never stopped loving Sherry. Claire, Leon, and Sherry board a train to leave the city. Claire injects Sherry with the vaccine, and she gets better. Unfortunately, they are unable to escape the lab safely, as a mutated William catches up with them, activating the train's destruction system. After a difficult battle, they manage to stop the train and leave it just before it explodes. The explosion destroys Birkin, leaving the danger behind. After escaping the tunnel, Claire leaves Leon and Sherry to continue searching for her brother in Europe.

Rockfort Island

In December 1998, Claire infiltrates the Umbrella Paris Laboratory in search of evidence against the corporation, but her presence is discovered and she is captured, after which she is sent to Rockfort Island. After her arrival on Rockfort, the island is captured by the H.C.F. organization. Waking up in a cell, Claire meets a corporate security officer named Rodrigo Juan Raval, who releases her from captivity, since the island was doomed. While searching for a way to leave the island, Claire meets another prisoner, Steve Burnside, who is also trying to get off the island. Claire and Steve find a computer from which she sends a message to Leon Kennedy so that he can pass on her location to her brother, Chris. Claire meets Alfred Ashford, the commander of Rockfort, who accuses her of attacking the island and later Albert Wesker, from whom she learns that it was he who attacked Rockfort. Claire and Steve soon manage to escape the island on a seaplane, but Ashford switches it to autopilot and the two end up at a base in Antarctica. There, they encounter "Nosferatu" - a mutated version of Alfred's father, Alexander Ashford. Claire soon kills the monster. Claire and Steve manage to escape the base on a snowmobile, but are stopped by Alexia Ashford, who was freed from her sleep in the pod by her brother Alfred. Alexia traps Claire in a cocoon to use as a test subject for the T-Veronica virus. Before this happens, Chris saves her, but Steve still becomes a test subject and soon mutates. He almost kills Claire, but at the last moment he takes control of the virus and saves Claire at the cost of his own life. Steve tells Claire that he loves her and dies in her arms. Chris and Claire soon kill Alexia. Chris activates the self-destruct system and saves Claire from Wesker. The two escape the base on a military jet and it explodes. After the incident, Claire becomes a member of the human rights organization TerraSave.

Rockfort Island

Claire occasionally visited Sherry Birkin when Sherry was under house arrest by the US government and Derek Simmons.

Harvardville and WilPharma

In 2005, Claire visited Harvardville to join the TerraSave protests against WilPharma, a corporation accused of medical experiments in India. Soon after, a bio-attack occurred at the airport where Claire was, after a plane carrying infected people crashed into the airport building. Claire called 911, the Harvardville police. Several people ended up with her, including Senator Ron Davis and a girl named Rani. They were soon rescued by Leon Kennedy, who led the rescue operation. She visited WilPharma's lab with its chief scientist Frederick Downing, from whom she learned that they had the G-virus for research. The building is soon blown up by Curtis Miller, who later infects himself with the G-virus. Claire enters the surveillance room where she sees Leon fighting G-Curtis. It turns out that Frederick Downing was behind everything, and Claire and Leon arrest him.

Forgotten Island

In 2011, she was at a TerraSave banquet. She and her colleagues were kidnapped to Forgotten Island. Claire, waking up in a cell in an abandoned prison, saw that she was wearing a bracelet. The cell door opened, and soon Claire found her friend Moira Burton. Not knowing who kidnapped them or why, they went to look for a way out. Soon they realized that they were not alone, and the prison was teeming with mutants. In the prison, an unknown woman contacts them, speaking to them through the bracelets and watching through the camera. Claire asks who she is, but she, ignoring the question, says that the bracelets change color from fear, and calls herself "Overseer". After Claire and Moira get out of the prison and find a radio tower. While Moira tries to send an SOS signal, Claire climbs high up on the tower and sees that they have ended up on an island. The signal doesn't work, and the two go in search of a place called "Vossek", where the "Overseer" had previously told them to go. There, they meet two other survivors, Gabriel Chavez and Pedro Fernandez. They say that they got separated from Neil Fisher, who later promised to find them, and that Edward Thompson, from whom they took the bracelet to understand how it works, died. They are soon contacted by the "Overseer", who tells the four that she injected them with a virus that is activated by extreme fear. The four then find an abandoned helicopter that Gabriel can fix if Claire finds the necessary parts. Claire finds them, and suddenly a siren sounds. Claire says that the "Overseer" turned it on to lure the monsters to them. Claire, Moira, and Pedro run back to Vossek to turn off the siren, but when they go inside, the building is surrounded by monsters from outside, and the three are forced to fight them off. Pedro begins to panic, and his fear activates the virus - the guy mutates into a monster.

Forgotten Island

Claire and Moira are soon saved by Neil, and the three escape from Vossek, but later, in order to distract the monsters, Neil separates from them. On the way, Claire meets a little girl who runs away from them, but Moira calms her down and says that she wants to help. Claire finds Gabriel, who manages to lift the helicopter he repaired into the air, but it turns out to be a trap of the "Overseer" and crashes into the building in front of Claire and Moira. While they are distracted by the helicopter, the girl disappears somewhere, which worries Moira very much. Claire finds a note from Neil saying that they are waiting for them at the factory. Moira does not believe it, but Claire, completely trusting Neil, convinces Moira to go. The factory turns out to be another trap, where the "Overseer" tells them that she no longer needs them for the experiment and activates the self-destruct system. Claire and Moira manage to get out and they find themselves in the sewers. Claire is surprised that she did not find Neil there and says that he did not leave the note, since he could not do such a thing. After going through the sewers, the two ended up in the "Overseer" tower. There, Claire found the guest list for the TerraSave banquet, which Neil made. Then Claire realized that Neil is a traitor and that the TerraSave members were kidnapped because of him, and is very saddened by this. Claire sees Neil on a security camera, talking to a woman in white about a deal. The woman, presumably the "Overseer", injects him with the Ouroboros virus and leaves him alone. Claire soon encounters Neil, who begins to mutate and wants to kill her, but Claire defeats him. Claire and Moira then take an elevator to find the "Overseer", but are stopped by Neil. The monster attacks Claire, who loses her gun and it flies back to Moira. Moira, in order to save her friend, overcomes her fear of guns and shoots Neil, killing him.

Forgotten Island

Taking the elevator to the top of the tower, Claire and Moira come face to face with the "Overseer", who turns out to be Alex Wesker. She explains her plans and then shoots herself in the head, activating the self-destruct system, and Claire and Moira flee the collapsing tower. Moira saves Claire from a collapse, but ends up under it. Claire is unable to help her friend, and Moira tells her to save herself. Claire, with a heavy heart, leaves Moira and jumps off the tower into the sea. At some point, Claire is found at sea and taken to the hospital, where Barry meets her and asks about his daughter. Claire apologizes to him for not being able to save Moira, and she is taken to intensive care. However, Claire still provided informational assistance to Barry and the BSAA in finding the location of the island. 6 months later, Claire returns to the island on a BSAA helicopter, following Barry, who arrived a couple of days ago to search for a living Moira. There, Claire helps Barry kill the T-Phobos-mutated Alex and apologizes to Moira for taking so long to save her. Claire, Barry, Moira and Natalia fly away on a helicopter, leaving the island to be cleaned up by the BSAA. In 2013, Claire learns by phone that her brother has been found and is in China with Pierce on a BSAA mission. She asks to tell Pierce to look after Chris. Claire goes to visit Barry and his family with a gift.

In 2015, Claire arrives to examine the mutilated carcass of a killer whale that mysteriously washed up on the shore of San Francisco. Claire takes DNA samples from the carcass and delivers them to Rebecca Chambers at the B.S.A.A. for analysis. There, Claire meets her brother Chris and Jill Valentine, who will also investigate a series of mysterious infections and murders in the San Francisco area. Chambers found out that the killer whale found by Claire was infected with the same strain of the t-virus as the San Francisco victims, who before their deaths visited Alcatraz Island as tourists, located near the shore where Claire found the killer whale's body. Claire accompanies her brother and Jill on a trip to the island, where the three become entangled with a crowd of tourists visiting the prison, who suddenly become infected with the virus without being bitten. Claire attempts to isolate the survivors from the infected, but fails, leaving her, her brother, and Jill the only survivors, with Jill separated from them. While trying to contact Valentine, they find themselves cut off from the outside world, then find another survivor named Tony Davis, who has been hiding. Accompanying Tony, a confrontation occurs between him and Claire when Tony, upon learning that she is a member of Terrasave, blames her organization for the tragedy at the Harvardville airport, unaware that her group was framed. However, Claire and her brother then save Tony from being attacked by infected tourists, and to his surprise, she bandages his wounds, despite her dislike for him. Suddenly, Claire and then Chris are bitten on the neck by bio-drone mosquitoes and pass out, at which point Maria Gomez appears and places the three in prison cells.

Claire is placed in a cell next to Tony, with her brother next to her, as Jill and Leon arrive, with the latter revealing to Claire that Tony is Antonio Taylor, a scientist wanted by the government for leaking military secrets to foreign countries. At that moment, former Umbrella mercenary Dylan Blake and Maria Gomez, who were behind the mysterious recent outbreaks, appear, the former informing that Claire and Chris are also infected and will eventually suffer the same fate as the tourists. Dylan reveals that his actions are intended to take revenge on the government and organizations, including the BSAA and Terrasave, for their hypocrisy and profiting from bioterrorism, and forces Jill to make a choice: either kill Claire to save Antonio or let her turn and kill the scientist, but Valentine does not buy his words, so he shoots Antonio. Despite her condition, Claire tries to stop Taylor's bleeding, but before he dies from his wounds, he manages to give her the secret code to Dylan's computer. At this point, Rebecca arrives with vaccines in hand, thanks to which Claire, Chris, and Leon are restored and reunited with Jill, in her confrontation with Dylan, who injected himself with the virus and, having merged with the megalodon, mutated into a giant monster. While Leon, Chris, and Jill distract Dylan, Claire and Rebecca use Taylor's code and send insect drones to the mutated Dylan to weaken him with the virus, thereby giving the other three the opportunity to deal with Blake and prevent his plan. After that, all five wait for the arrival of helicopters on which they are evacuated from the island.
