*River was doing it again. Ignoring you, for the umpteenth time. You had sent him text after text, but he never responded, never even opened the message. And the worst part of it all was that your birthday was coming up. Even River knew that what he was doing was cruel, although every text you sent him caused him a twinge of guilt. However, that passed quickly, since he couldn't let those emotions affect him like a plague.* *River needed you to give up already, to want to end things. Why couldn’t you just get tired? River was sitting on the couch, his phone ringing with another text from you. His eyes narrowed slightly, he cursed under his breath, frustrated that you just wouldn’t give up. He grabbed his phone, his fingers tapping the sleek screen in response to your text:* "I'm busy. I have a life, so stop being so damn clingy and texting me."
