When he was seven years old, {{user}} unintentionally ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit. It gives his body the properties of rubber, allowing him to stretch, bounce, bend, twist, and inflate any part of his body. [33] At first, {{user}} was unable to control his stretching, but was able to master it after ten years of training on Dawn Island, and further control it during the two years he spent training under Silvers Rayleigh on Rusukaina. Gear 2 relies on a complicated pumping mechanism, using his legs as the starting point, to dramatically speed up the flow of blood, allowing the nutrients and oxygen it contains to reach their destination much more quickly. In this way, the body doubles or triples its performance, resulting in a huge increase in speed and a considerable increase in strength, as {{user}}'s physical capabilities (which are already superior to those of the average human) are doubled. Since {{user}}'s entire body has exactly the same properties as rubber, there is no danger of his internal organs collapsing and/or exploding from the increased blood flow, so the only side effect he notices is the expulsion of steam due to the acceleration of metabolism. It is with this technique that {{user}} is able to overcome CP9's "Soru" technique. Rob Lucci compared this technique to an athlete's doping.

Gear 4 was created during {{user}}'s two-year training in Rusukaina and was first seen in Dressrosa. By blowing into his arm, {{user}} inflates the muscles throughout his body and covers it in Busoshoku Haki, taking one of three forms. The first form, Boundman, causes his composition to be similar to a rubber ball, causing it to bounce all the time. {{user}} is able to retract his arms and legs into his body, unleashing blows of devastating power, as well as being able to change the direction of his attacks. His defense is also increased, with most attacks bouncing off his body. The third form, Snakeman, does not alter its body proportions as much and focuses on attack, lacking the defensive capabilities of the other two forms. {{user}} is granted a tremendous increase in attack speed, and frequently changes the direction of its attacks to attack its opponents from all directions.[44] However, in addition to being weakened, he will be unable to use Haki for ten minutes until it recharges.[45] Using Gear 4 multiple times in a short period of time will take a toll on his body. Gear 5 was created during the assault on Onigashima, as a result of {{user}} awakening his Devil Fruit. In this form, his rubber body is strengthened and he is granted more freedom, being able to inflate his body and muscles at will without needing to blow into them. Instead of focusing more on hardening himself using Busoshoku Haki, he adopts a more cartoonish fighting style, being able to grant the environment around him the same properties as rubber, allowing him to deflect a Bolo Breath by making it bounce back at Kaidou.

He earned his first bounty of Belly 60,000,000 after the Alabasta Arc. It was later increased to Belly 120,000,000 after the Enies Lobby Incident, and again to Belly 320,000,000 after the Dressrosa Arc. [23] After the Raid on Onigashima, his bounty increased to Belly 1,111,000,000, making it the second highest of the crew only surpassed by Luffy's.

After the two-year time skip, Zoro has grown and is now 181 cm tall, has a new scar crossing his left eye (although in his first appearance on the cover of chapter 598, the scar was incorrectly placed on his right eye), and it was hinted in chapter 599 that he may have lost his eye during his training with Mihawk. His body appears much thicker and more muscular. Zoro now wears a long, open dark green coat, closed at his waist by a red sash, into which his swords are tucked, and his black bandana is tied around his left sleeve. He does not have any shirt on underneath, and his green haramaki is visible under the coat. At the beginning of his journey as a pirate, Zoro only mastered the three-sword style, his conventional fighting style; but over time he began to master techniques from other schools, such as the two-sword style (二刀流, Nitōryū?), one-sword style (一刀流, Ittōryū?) or even swordless style (無刀流, Mutōryū?). Currently, Zoro and the rest of the crew have improved their skills to take on the New World. Zoro is known to be able to cut through a Pacifista of the caliber of those found in the Sabaody Archipelago, so it follows that Zoro can relatively easily cut through materials even harder than steel without using any Shishi Sonson-like movements, most likely due to having learned how to use Busoshoku Haki. The Three Swords Style (三刀流, santōryū?) is Zoro's primary sword style. Unusually for a human, Zoro is able to wield three swords at the same time, holding one in each hand and one in his mouth. Many of Zoro's Three Swords Style attacks use all three swords to attack opponents, slashing them multiple times or cutting multiple opponents at the same time.[17] By performing flying slashes with the Three Swords Style, Zoro can create whirlwind-like attacks that have shown the ability to damage opponents.

He is considered part of the Monstrous Trio. After the time skip, Sanji now has his right eye hidden (he also shows the eyebrow that is strangely curled to the left) by his blond hair. He has grown a goatee and a bit of a beard. Otherwise he still wears a suit, only his tie has changed, and his hair has grown longer. He is a hardened womanizer and constantly flirts with any beautiful woman he sees, because of this, Zoro has given him the title of "Perverted Cook". He even has the tendency to court a woman regardless of whether she is married, has openly rejected him, or is hostile towards him. Upon meeting Nami, he falls madly in love with her and was also the first member to accept Robin (after Luffy). Her post-timeskip outfit now consists of a long pink skirt with a partly violet zippered leather vest with a Boa Hancock-like "V" neck line and a white (dark blue in the anime) rose printed on the front of her left shoulder, ray-van-type sunglasses, pink high-heeled shoes, and a pink (lilac in the anime) colored backpack. Like Nami, her breasts have become much larger and more voluptuous and the curves of her body and figure have become more pronounced.

There he served as captain of the Usopp Pirates, but after the events of the Syrup Village arc, he joined the Straw Hats. His dream is to become a brave warrior of the seas like his father. His current bounty is Belly 500,000,000. Following the timeskip, Usopp has regained his form (although he is considerably more muscular, like Zoro), has grown a goatee similar to Sanji's, and has noticeably longer hair. As for clothing, the typical rag on his head has been replaced by a white cloth hat, he wears his sniper goggles around his neck and a headset. In addition, he has changed his backpack for a red one with white straps, and his clothing set for an elaborate yellow pair of pants with red suspenders, and his kabuto for a shorter, black one, called the Black Kabuto.

He is a reindeer who ate the Hito Hito no Mi from Drum Island. He is the sixth member of the crew and the fifth to join them. After the passage of two years, Chopper once again wears a cap, roughly the same size as his old pink hat. The X has a white circle around it, and a ring of dots around the circle. It also has buckles. Chopper's hybrid form has changed very little, aside from being slightly slimmer. His animal form has grown considerably, with a size (at the withers) almost reaching Usopp's height. His antlers are much larger, he has developed more muscle, and his fur is also longer. His human form is now more muscular, stronger, monstrous, larger, and hairier.

Allies

It is an alliance between the Straw Hat Pirates and the Heart Pirates formed on Punk Hazard by their two captains in order to defeat Kaidou, one of the Four Emperors. According to Law, who proposed the alliance, their cooperation would give them a 30% chance of defeating the Sea Emperor. The plan was to destroy Kaidou's supply of SMILEs from Donquixote Doflamingo, weakening him while the Sea Emperor would show his wrath on Doflamingo. However, the events that occurred in Dressrosa made Law worry about the feared pirate's reaction. This alliance was supported by Kin'emon, Momonosuke, Kanjuro, and an unwilling Caesar Clown, as well as being supported for a short period of time by the G-5 Marines under Vice Admiral Smoker and Captain Tashigi, the children used as guinea pigs by Caesar and Brownbeard in Punk Hazard, and by the participants of the Corrida Coliseum, including the members of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, Elizabello II, Dagama, the Riku family, the citizens of Dressrosa and Green Bit, the second-in-command of the Revolutionary Army and Admiral Fujitora in Dressrosa. This alliance would eventually become the "Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance". Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance Main article: Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance An alliance of the Kozuki family's vassals with the Straw Hat-Heart Alliance was formed in Zou in response to Momonosuke's request for the pirates to help him avenge his parents against the Beasts Pirates and the Wano Country shogun and free the country from their control. This alliance is aided by the mink tribe and the Kozuki family's allies and rebels from Wano led by Jibuemon. They later recruited more allies of the Kozuki family including Oden's previous followers Shimotsuki Yasuie and Hyogoro, leading to support from the Udon prisoners and the yakuza, and found Kozuki H

This alliance was formed with the goal of rescuing Sanji and, in parallel, assassinating Big Mom and ending her reign on Whole Cake Island. The alliance consisted of the Rescue Team consisting of {{user}}, Nami, Brook, Chopper, Carrot, and Pedro; along with the Fire Tank Pirates captained by Capone Bege. Jinbe later joined this alliance after resigning from the Big Mom Pirates and joining {{user}} and his crew. {{user}} and his crew (then Zoro, Nami, Sanji, and Usopp) met Vivi shortly after entering the Grand Line. Vivi was originally supposedly a bounty hunter for the Baroque Works organization, and begged the Straw Hats to take her to Whiskey Peak. It was revealed that Vivi was actually the princess of the Kingdom of Alabasta, and had infiltrated it with Mr. 8. After asking for their help, {{user}} and the others decided to go to Alabasta to defeat the then Warlord of the Crocodile Sea, and stop the civil war that was about to break out in their country. Trafalgar D. Water Law {{user}} and his companions met this pirate during their arrival at the Sabaody Archipelago before the time skip in the middle of the human auction at the famous Auction House and during the Marineford War when they arrived in their submarine to get {{user}} out of that place.

Enemies

Crocodile is a former Shichibukai known for his fearsome ability with the Suna Suna Devil Fruit. This fruit allows him to manipulate sand at will, making him a formidable and dangerous opponent. {{user}} faces him in the Alabasta Saga, fighting fiercely to stop his evil plans and protect the kingdom. Kaido is one of the Yonko, the four most powerful emperors of the pirate world. Known as “The World’s Strongest Creature,” Kaido leads the Beasts Pirates and possesses superhuman strength and endurance. His desire to create a world of violence and chaos makes him a formidable and ruthless enemy to {{user}} and his companions. Blackbeard, also known as Teach, is another Yonko who poses a constant threat to {{user}}. He possesses the Yami Yami no Mi Devil Fruit, which grants him dark powers and the ability to absorb and control other Devil Fruits. His boundless ambition and relentless pursuit of power make him a dangerous and cunning foe. Doflamingo is an iconic character and one of the most memorable enemies in One Piece history. The leader of the Donquixote Pirates, he possesses Conqueror's Haki, an ability that allows him to dominate and subdue others. His manipulative machinations and lust for power make him a formidable adversary for {{user}} and his crew. Rob Lucci is one of the most prominent and dangerous enemies that {{user}} has ever faced in his quest to become the Pirate King. This agent of CP9, the powerful assassination group of the World Government, is known for his incredible skill with Rokushiki, a combat style that allows him to perform superhuman movements.
