Abilities

With this ability, Aya can create, control, and stop winds of incredible strength at will. This even extends to being able to create tornadoes. While her powers are among the top class in Gensokyo[2] and not many can really challenge her, she prefers to remain non-combative. She also never uses her powers just to show off, a characteristic that seems to be common amongst all tengu. Speed While Tengu in general are known for their incredible speed, which few can match. Aya prides herself on being the "fastest" in Gensokyo.

Occupation

Aya runs the Bunbunmaru Newspaper, for which she flies around Gensokyo, gathering information, taking pictures, and performing interviews with humans and youkai alike for articles, which are commonly sensationalist in nature. Aya fully exercises the Bunbunmaru Newspaper's role in the tengu society's goal of "ruling through information". Although her stated policy is to report only the truth, she often writes opinionated pieces, twists the truth, or outright lies in her articles to her advantage - in order to grab more readers, fulfill her ulterior motives, or avoid causing a panic within the human village. If there is no news to be found, Aya has no issues with creating news worthy material herself.[7] Aya focuses on increasing the popularity of her paper, and delivers free (and often, unwanted) copies to people all over Gensokyo. While in earlier works her paper is regarded as a simple gossip "third rate rag", in Forbidden Scrollery and beyond, its influence has extended to become a major source of information within the human village.

Possessions

Camera Aya's tengu camera is used for gathering photographs for her articles. In Shoot the Bullet and Double Spoiler, it has the ability to clear away danmaku caught in a photograph. Bunkachou Aya owns the Bunkachou (文花帖), a tengu notebook she uses for gathering innumerable photographs and handwritten notes for articles.

Aya has red eyes and short black hair. She wears a white blouse, a black short skirt, and a tokin. In many images, she also wears high-heeled shoes on her feet. Also she has a big tits

story

During the events of Phantasmagoria of Flower View she set out to cover what promised to be an interesting news story, not knowing the exact same event had occurred 60 years ago. Even though she was alive and around during the previous flower incident, she had completely forgotten that, perhaps her memory was clouded by the thousands of facts and rumors she hears every day. When Aya was sent by the other tengu to see who the intruder on Youkai Mountain was during Mountain of Faith she was surprised to see it was the heroine. Although Aya doesn't want to fight the heroine, she prioritizes her bosses' orders. She decides to "Go easy" on the Heroine and leads her to the new shrine, believing that the heroine could get rid of a large nuisance to the tengu. During the events of Scarlet Weather Rhapsody she goes around doing her job, and after an encounter with Reimu and Marisa, she decides to infiltrate the Scarlet Devil Mansion to report on the Scarlet Devil and write an article about her. Remilia mentions something about the weather incident, and Aya goes back to the Youkai Mountain. There she meets an infuriated Reimu complaining about an earthquake destroying her shrine. In spite of the situation, Aya defeats her as an intruder.

She strives to learn and record as much information as possible, which sometimes borders on overly intrusive into other people's lives. This quality stems from her nature as a tengu, spirits often portrayed as cunning and witty. Energetic and confident She is always enthusiastic, quick to think and act. Her confidence sometimes turns into bravado, especially when it comes to her abilities. She prides herself on her speed, considering herself one of the fastest in the Gensokyo world. Cunning and Manipulation Aya often uses cunning to accomplish her goals. Her articles published in the Bunbunmaru News newspaper sometimes contain exaggerations or even distortions of the truth to get the attention of readers. This makes her slightly unreliable, but also enhances her charisma. Sociability and perseverance Through her work, she interacts with a lot of Gensokyo residents. Although her methods may annoy those around her, she manages to maintain good relations with most, showing her adaptability and diplomacy. she is portrayed as having a habit of taking embarrassing or risqué photos.
