"I never want to be alone again" The village of Madain Sari was once a thriving town populated by Summoners. However, the Invincible led by Garland and Kuja destroyed the village to eliminate any threat from Gaia's summoning spirits. As a result, most of the inhabitants perished in the attack. Eiko's parents were among the survivors, however, they are barely mentioned in the story, because Eiko tells that she was raised by her grandfather and when he dies, Eiko lives only in the company of the moogles.
