Hrist is a tall, busty woman with long, straight, dark purple hair with bangs covering her right eye (she has bangs covering her left eye whenever she gets angry) and a long braid running from the left side of her head to her waist. Hrist wears a white garrison cap on her head and an open white military jacket with a strapless dark violet corset that reveals her cleavage, along with white jeans underneath. She also wears white knee-high boots with metal knee guards and black fingerless gloves with loose cufflinks. He has two different eye colors depending on his mood: -Emerald green eyes when she is calm. -Golden eyes when she's angry.

Kojiro takes the form of a tall, muscular old man with silver hair, sharp eyebrows, and brown eyes. Kojiro wears a red and orange haori with numerous flower patterns on it and a hakama with a darker shade of the same color tied with a red ribbon. He also wears fingerless leggings that are black in color. Kojiro can usually be seen holding a long katana as tall as he is on his back.

At first glance, Kojiro appears to be a carefree and confident yet lazy individual, as he was considered little more than dead weight to his peers and teachers at Seigen Toda's dojo in his youth. [1] He was also seen as a coward at times, always giving up before a match was over while claiming it was to prevent injuries that could harm his future growth and skills. [2] However, Kojiro is actually a diligent and hard-working person, as seen when he constantly struggled trying to defeat various swordsmen, but managed to surpass them in due time through rigorous training. [3] He has a great fighting spirit and enjoys fighting powerful opponents. Even after being killed by Musashi Miyamoto, his only regret was not being able to fight Musashi anymore. Kojiro also has great respect for the swordsmen he has fought alongside, and is unwilling to lose his fight against Poseidon so as not to bring shame to their names. [4] During their fight, he showed the utmost gratitude towards his rivals for molding him into the person he is today. He only fights to increase his own strength and has no interest in acquiring wealth or fame, which is probably the main reason why he never fought any of his previous opponents after surpassing them, as in his view, winning against an opponent he has already "defeated" would be meaningless. Despite having a moment of doubt during his fight with Poseidon, Kojiro managed to regain his spirit with the support of his friends and rivals. [10] Accelerated Development: Due to his immense willpower and innate Senju Musō ability, Kojiro constantly improves his skills. Every time Kojiro is defeated, he learns from his mistakes and creates a new training regimen to further improve his swordsmanship. Manju Musō (萬but 無即, "Infinite Image Defense"): During his fight with Poseidon, Kojiro was able to enhance his Senju Musō ability to the point where he could not only analyze his opponent's movements but also the information present in their surroundings using the vibrations traveling through the air and ground, allowing him to further predict his opponents' movements and make his movements comparable to that of a Supreme God. Ganryu Style: Kojiro's primary form of swordsmanship, involving standard yet skillful movements and techniques with the use of the "Monohoshizao", an ōdachi that (despite being unruly due to its length and weight) Kojiro wields with incredible speed and precision. Gaeshi de Tsubame (燕つばめ返El, lit. "Swallow Reversal"): Kojiro's most powerful technique when he was still on Earth. First, Kojiro swings his sword downward with all his might. Due to Monohoshizao's weight and the attack's great power, most opponents are unable to block it, forcing them to dodge. However, if they manage to dodge, Kojiro can immediately stop the sword's descent, reverse it, and change the direction of his strike, striking upward at extremely fast speeds while simultaneously aiming for the opponent's blind spot (eliminating all of his opponent's defensive options). This technique is said to be able to catch a swallow, with speeds exceeding 200 km/h (124 mph). [26] Torakiri (虎切とらきり, lit. Kojiro utilizes all of the swordsmanship techniques and forms he has accumulated and perfected over the centuries and infuses them all into a single, all-encompassing fighting style. This form primarily combines Seigen Toda's masterful kodachi handling, Sekishūsai Yagyu's elegant footwork, Ittosai Itto's brute strength, the smooth combinations of the "Sword Saint" Nobutsuna Kamiizumi, and finally Musashi Miyamoto's dual-wielding. [30][31] Son Zanko Banjin Ryōran (燕虎りょう, lit. "Tiger Swallow, Thousand Swords Combo"): Kojiro's final sword technique of the Niten Ganryu Style. Kojiro holds his left sword in a reverse grip, delivering a quick strike similar to Tsubame Gaeshi. [6] Kojiro then immediately uses his second sword to deliver an even faster sideways slash similar to Torakiri. [33] Finally, he uses both swords at once, slashing in an "X" pattern with such force, [34] that it split Poseidon's torso completely. [5]

Monohoshizao (物干し竿, "The Drying Pole"): A divine weapon in the form of an ōdachi (a longer sword possessing a weight 1.5 times that of the average katana), provided by the Völundr of the 2nd Valkyrie, Hrist. Due to Hrist's unique nature, Monohoshizao can reform into a set of Daishō katanas when broken.

Before the Third Round of Ragnarok

Before the third battle, as Brunhilde struggled to choose humanity's countermeasure against Poseidon, Kojiro Sasaki appeared behind her as an old man and volunteered to fight in the third round. She was initially skeptical due to his appearance until Kojiro demonstrated his prowess by gracefully catching a falling jug of milk with his scabbard without spilling a drop. He then nonchalantly proceeded to drink the milk and eat some discarded pieces of cake from the floor.

Third Round of Ragnarok

Kojiro explained that the evolution of his style never ended, making his potential old age his golden age. At some point after this, Hrist performed Völundr with Kojiro and became his nodachi, Monohoshizao. Kojiro arrived on a small fishing boat, traversed the ocean terrain, and stopped at the small platform in the middle. Initially, after his introduction into the arena, humanity doubted his ability to fight. Among his contemporaries, Iori Miyamoto, Seijuro Yoshioka, and Inshun Hozoin all wondered why Musashi was not the one representing humanity. But when Kojiro Sasaki drew his sword and calmed the water around the arena, the sword masters, including Musashi, shed tears and admitted that Sasaki is unmatched under the heavens. For a brief time from the start of the match, Kojiro scanned Poseidon and could not find any way to attack him without dying. Kojiro then sat down and said that he didn't want to die, shocking everyone in the audience. After some thought, the swordsman humbly asked Poseidon to demonstrate his technique, hoping to gather more information about the sea god's movements, but Poseidon did not even acknowledge Sasaki's presence. Despite seeing no way to survive even the first exchange, Kojiro decided to attack so as not to embarrass himself in front of other swordsmen, opening with his best move, Tsubame Gaeshi. The attack missed, managing only to cut some of Poseidon's hair. This enraged the god of the seas, and he began advancing towards his opponent, which was so rare that it surprised the gods. Poseidon used Amphitrite, but Kojiro dodged every single thrust, because his scanning ability allowed him to predict them.

Third Round, Part 2

The sea god whistled and began to add a bit more force to his attacks. Kojiro was unable to react in time and received a wound on the left side of his abdomen. Poseidon mocked the swordsman, smirking at him. The gods in the audience erupted in cheers for their representative, but Poseidon glared at them, forcing the arena to fall silent. Sasaki asked why he doesn't accept support from his fellow gods, to which Poseidon replied that supporters are unnecessary for those who have reached perfection. Kojiro was disappointed to hear this and called him a rather sad existence. This comment filled the god of the seas with calm fury, and he attacked Sasaki with Chione Tyro Demeter. Kojiro continued to learn to evade Poseidon's attacks while observing them and then used Ganryu Ougi Torakiri when he found an opening for a counterattack, but his sword was immediately shattered by Poseidon's trident. Kojiro then took the broken half of the sword in his other hand and asked the god if he ever got lost and trained until the sun rose, or if he ever cried tears of gratitude for those who made him stronger, or if he ever felt love towards his opponent in a fight to the death. Poseidon did not answer. Apologizing, he stated that he knew Poseidon never felt any of that. Kojiro said that the sword represents the history and hearts of all swordsmen, and that he would never lose to someone who never considered the hopes and dreams of others.

Third Round, Part 3

Poseidon looked at the swordsman in disdain, but as the human finished his speech, the two pieces of his broken sword emitted pillars of light and reformed into a katana and a kodachi, having performed a Re Völundr using the broken halves of the sword. Now using the Niten Ganryu Ougi, Kojiro offered to continue the fight. Despite the entire audience being in awe of the development, the god of the seas called Kojiro a worm, remaining completely unimpressed, and attacked him. Kojiro used the techniques of the swordsmen he fought throughout his life to avoid all of Poseidon's attacks and quickly counterattack, leaving Poseidon covered in wounds. In response, Poseidon whistled and smiled, showing Kojiro that he was only now about to get serious. The god of the seas continued to increase the speed of his thrusts, inflicting more wounds on the swordsman, as if, in the face of Kojiro's masterful techniques, Poseidon was only interested in turning the battle into one of pure strength. Poseidon used Medusa Alope Demeter, instantly retaking the initiative. Overwhelmed by Poseidon's attack, Kojiro began to lose hope, feeling a sense of drowning in the face of his opponent's countless attacks. He then heard all of his fellow swordsmen chanting his name, giving him the motivation to fight back. Kojiro's scanning ability evolved even further, allowing him to scan all of creation at once. He successfully defended against all of Poseidon's attacks and closed the distance with him using extremely fast footwork.

Third Round, Part 4

Kojiro countered Poseidon's thrust with Soen Zanko Banjin Ryoran, cutting off the god's right arm, but Poseidon kept using his broken trident with his other arm until it was immediately cut off as well. With only his teeth remaining, Poseidon furiously bit down on the handle of his weapon and attempted to stab Kojiro. Kojiro finished the combo with a cross slash, the same move that ended his earthly life. Poseidon angrily cursed Kojiro as his torso was torn to pieces. Kojiro humbly celebrated his first victory in his entire existence. After the end of the third match, Kojiro was about to collapse due to fatigue and blood loss, but Hrist returned to normal and caught him. She then left the arena with him to help him with his wounds.

Ragnarok

It is the final fight between humanity and the gods. Explained in the Valhalla Constitution, Article No. 62, Paragraph 15 of the "Super Special Clause", it is a series of one-on-one confrontations between the gods and humanity. The rules are pretty simple. Each side chooses thirteen fighters, who will fight one on one to the death and the winning side will be the one who gets seven victories first. If the gods win Ragnarok, humanity's fate will be sealed and it will become extinct. However, if humans win, they will gain the right to live another 1000 years. As Ragnarok is a battle between souls, those who die in the fights have their souls destroyed and turned to ashes, making it impossible to save or recover the soul, this prevents the cycle of reincarnation, thus resulting in complete extinction.

Valhalla

It is the world where the gods and the souls of the dead dwell. While the gods are native to Valhalla, human souls are guided there by the Valkyries. Currently, Valhalla is ruled by the supreme Greek God, Zeus.

After Ragnarok

Since Ragnarok, 9 years have passed since everything ended, with the victory of the humans with an 8-7. Hrist and Kojiro, due to the time they spent in Ragnarok, having their souls merged into a Völundr, interactions and time, both ended up getting married 5 years after Ragnarok. Despite Hrist's split personality, Kojiro doesn't show frustration or anger. On the contrary, he always tries to see the positive side of the interactions that Hrist's two personalities can cause. Based on this, they have a fairly healthy relationship despite the circumstances. They love each other, support each other, protect each other, give each other affection and... A little love in the night...
