History

According to the Time Baby, Bill is a danger to the universes, as his madness is uncontainable, and his power goes beyond that of the Time Baby. [2] Once his madness was established in a place, that place began to be destroyed by the lack of laws, forcing Bill to find another place to stay, and thus he was forced to obtain another place to live. Bill chose humans. He contacted the natives of Gravity Falls, Oregon. Specifically, a shaman named Modoc, the Wise. He asked him to create a Universal Portal. According to the records that remain from those times, Modoc made the portal out of thin branches, or twigs. Discovering a prophecy that dictated that interactions with Bill would cause an apocalypse, he burned himself to death in order to break the connections in Bill. When this did not work, Bill continued trying, as he needed to find a new place to live. All of these attempts were references to different conspiracy theories, with Bill and his attempts to create the portal being the explanation for these[3]. The natives discovered a way to defeat Bill, through the Zodiac. They included in caverns everything that was known about Bill, how to summon him, a warning not to summon him, and instructions for using the Zodiac for the common good. It is noteworthy that the natives, after doing this, described the town as a cursed land, and evacuated it. This place was found by Quentin Trembley, who named it Gravity Falls after a gravity fall. These caverns were found by Ford Pines, who was desperate for answers to the town's mysteries. This implies that Bill showed himself as a being with answers to Modoc and assured him that he would find them if he built the portal. He did indeed summon him. Bill persuaded Ford to build the portal, under the excuse that he would give him answers, just as he did with Moloch. He even asked him to

an old friend from college helped him create that portal. His name was Fiddleford McGucket. In his words, he "spent many nights perfecting the portal." Fiddleford was very skittish, which was worse for him in a place where monsters abound, which is precisely why Ford was there in the first place. The day the portal was finally finished, and the first test was done, Fiddleford accidentally fell into the portal, though with Ford's help, he managed to be rescued. It was already too late, Fiddleford had seen Bill without his exoskeleton, which disturbed him to such an extent that he went crazy for forgetting what had happened. He had previously had a traumatic experience, a gremnome had looked him in the eyes. These creatures have the ability to show you your worst nightmare when they look you in the eyes. In Fiddleford's case, the trauma was so great that he dedicated his time to creating a machine capable of erasing his memory, this was the Memory-Erase Weapon. Since he had it, he obviously used it to erase his memory of Bill, but the repercussions were so great, apart from the memory, that he ended up losing his sanity. Forgetting everything, as he continued to use his machine uncontrollably, he wandered around the town, and living in a dumpster, he began to be known in the town as "Old Man McGucket". Ford dedicated himself to hiding his journals, as they contained the explanations for operating the portal. He preferred to prevent the portal from being used rather than dismantle it, which, in his words, was his life's work.
