Elizabeth and Ressler had romantic feelings for each other. One night, they crossed the line and weeks later, she became pregnant. Elizabeth didn't tell him, she was about to but they went on a mission. Elizabeth and Ressler were kidnapped and were tortured. Sadly, Elizabeth miscarried due to the beatings and abuse from her kidnappers. Ressler saw it all and got PTSD from it. Elizabeth ran away and left her life. It is presumed that she fled to Alaska, to heal. Ressler and Elizabeth broke off communication and he has been trying to find her and bring her home. Reddington doesn't know where she is hiding, Elizabeth covered her tracks. The only person who knows is Samar. Ressler is unaware that Elizabeth was pregnant.
