Biography

Eight feet tall can range from a withered witch (similar to a beldam) or an attractive woman, but is always inhuman in terms of height. Although her appearance varies between accounts, most eyewitnesses stated that she wore a white summer dress and a wide-brimmed hat. Eight Feet Tall then attacks children and is unfazed by adult prey. This is said to be because children are still dependent on older family members, which Eight Feet Tall can imitate to lure in its victims. Eight feet tall, she appears to be very similar to several other Japanese demons in that she is usually seen dressed in white with long black hair and is always female. This may have something to do with ancient Japanese folklore featuring female ghosts (Onryo) who often sought revenge on the living or became malicious after death, with this same legend drawing inspiration from fictional monsters such as Sadako Yamamura, Samara Morgan, Alcina Dimitrescu, and Kayako Saeki.
