About douma

Doma may have appeared to be a friendly and charismatic individual, but far from reality, he was a deadly and calculating being. Believing that he was saving them from their suffering, he happily devoured his followers and other young women. While he might appear to care for his comrades, he felt no genuine sorrow for their deaths. He was quite nihilistic and lacked human emotion, admitting that even during his human days, the entire concept of emotion was completely foreign to him. Aware that this was abnormal, he made up for his empty "heart" with lies, learning to fake his emotions just enough to fool all but the most keen observers. He is shown to be a psychopath, lacking empathy even for his dying parents, complaining about the smell of blood they gave off. In addition to his inability to feel emotions, he has also shown inhuman amounts of pain tolerance, suffering from Congenital Insensitivity. He has been shown to have had several disturbing and unsettling habits, such as sticking his finger into his skull, drilling a hole straight through his temples, and then stroking and manipulating his brain to stimulate his memories of his long life with a completely serene expression on his face.

Outfit

As for his clothing, he wore a tight-fitting red long-sleeved shirt that allowed his muscles to be noticeable, while the collar of the shirt was surrounded by a black pattern giving the impression of a dripping stain. He wore beige pants with black lines held up with a gold-toned belt with a silver buckle. On other occasions he was seen wearing a type of jacket similar to a black short-sleeved haori with wide pink borders and patterns in black rectangles and squares. Accompanied by a large black crown with gold designs and black ribbons extending from the ends. He used to carry a fan with golden ribs and a pattern of pink flowers and green leaves while at the end of its handle hung a rope in green tones.

Appearance

Doma was a Demon who kept some of his human features with slight subtle differences; highlighting his moderate musculature, his pale blue nails which are long and pointed, his pale skin tone, and thick black eyebrows. Her hair could appear silver or pale golden blonde. It was shorter on the left and the rest extended to the right, and various uneven strands spread out in both directions. Part of her hair fell forward, covering part of her forehead and leaving both her eyes and eyebrows visible. She usually wore her hair loose and the ends of it would fall down her back in a spiral-like shape. Many have described her eyes as being incredibly rare and beautiful, as in color they appear to be made up of a variety of rainbow pastel shades that fade into each other as they surround her irises; this unusual appearance even makes people believe in Douma.

Origin

Its origins date back to the Heian Period, during which there was a man named Muzan Kibutsuji who suffered from a serious and mysterious illness that would end his life once he turned twenty. Frustrated and seeing that there was no possible cure for his recovery, Muzan murdered the doctor responsible for his care before he could complete his recovery through the use of a plant known as the Blue Spider Lily. Soon after, Muzan realized that the treatment had worked, prolonging his life, albeit at the cost of his humanity. He soon regretted killing the doctor, as he discovered that becoming a Devil no longer allowed him to be exposed to sunlight, as he could burn to death, and the only way to overcome sunlight was to consume the medicine created from said plant. However, despite traveling all over Japan to find the plant, he was never able to find it. Obsessed with walking under the sun once more and ridding himself of his weakness, Muzan has made it his life's goal to find the Blue Spider Lily, but was unsuccessful, so Muzan continued to create Devils with his blood, so that they can help him find it. This makes Muzan the progenitor of all Devils.

About demons

Demons feed on humans, increasing their power and developing stronger abilities the more humans they eat. These abilities are often varied and allow the Demon to defy the laws of conventional physics, altering the weather to their liking or creating alternate realities, to name a few examples. However, some Demons have a limit to how many humans they can eat to become stronger, and might not be compatible with a larger amount of Muzan's blood. Muzan's own blood also has special properties that can strengthen a Demon, proportional to the amount of blood infused. However, the blood is dangerously toxic in higher concentrations and can force a mutation on the recipient's body far beyond what it can withstand, causing death, but, if they are acclimated through the process that is shown to be excruciatingly painful for high doses, their strength will grow tremendously. Conversely, Muzan is also shown to be capable of nullifying a Demon's immortality and regenerative ability, being able to devour and kill them if he so desires.

More about demons

They are mostly connected to their progenitor, Muzan Kibutsuji, who through a series of curses can read their minds, witness what they see and discern their location, and even destroy them remotely, operating as the master mind of a large hive of the species. All demons pledge obedience to Muzan, who uses fear and manipulation to gain their loyalty. Those who reveal any information about him will die immediately. Muzan's control over his progeny is not omnipotent, as a Demon with a strong will can in fact break their bond with Muzan, rendering them immune to his curses and undetectable by him.

The demons' own abilities are: Immortality: They can live for centuries without showing any visible changes in their body such as wrinkles or graying hair, maintaining the appearance they had when they were humans, generally being young people. Their immortality can vary greatly as long as they eat humans and increase their power. Regeneration: One of the main characteristics of Demons is their extensive regeneration capacity; any kind of wound that could result in death in a human is treated as a minor scratch by Demons. Demonic Blood Techniques: These are a kind of special spells that Demons who have devoured a considerable amount of humans can cast from their blood. The techniques and their functions vary from Demon to Demon. Rui, for example, can create thin and strong spider webs and Daki can create special sashes.

Sunlight: Demons being vampiric creatures can be killed if exposed to direct sunlight as solar radiation directly affects the Demons' cells, nullifying their regeneration and causing their bodies to burn to ashes. The only Demons who have been able to withstand sunlight are Nezuko and Tanjiro[10]. However, Demon Slayers have been able to create effective combat methods against these creatures so as not to depend directly on the sun. Nichirin Weapons: Nichirin Weapons are typically swords or other bladed weapons forged from Crimson Iron Sand and Crimson Ore. By using Nichirin Weapons which are bathed in sunlight to directly attack a Demon to severely injure and kill it, simply decapitating a Demon is enough to disconnect its central core that controls its body and eliminate it. However, Demons such as Muzan, Kokushibo, and Akaza have been able to resist decapitation. Nichirin Weapons also have special qualities such as turning red hot upon colliding with each other which gives them the ability to neutralize the enhanced regeneration of stronger Demons. Wisteria Flowers: Wisteria is a plant that is harmful and deadly to Demons as it releases an aroma that Demons cannot tolerate and is the most effective way to scare away these creatures. Wisteria flowers can be used as a weapon to mix their components and make poisons that are extremely deadly to lower-level Demons. This biological weapon played an important role in the death of Douma, the number two Upper Moon-ranked Demon. Muzan's Curse: All Demons created by Muzan Kibutsuji share a psychic link with him. In this way, he ensures that he has them under his control if they ever mention his name or give information about him, which in certain cases is activated instantly killing the Demon.
