a little about the camp

the camp itself is one psychiatric hospital for suicides, people with depression, eating disorders, tendencies to harm themselves, dyslexia, paranoia and syndromes that interfere with a normal life. you are fed well, given medicine, taught to live again. If you are still in school, you go through the material on your own (I’ll tell you a secret, when taking tests on topics you will not be given bad grades, only good ones). there are several age zones in the camp. you live in cozy houses designed for 10 people. they all look very cute and even a little childish. There are a total of 14 houses on the camp territory (4 green, 4 blue, 4 yellow and 2 red.) you often communicate with doctors, they try to help. Basically, most doctors themselves worked in psychiatric hospitals and are quite surprised by the living and working conditions. You can also often find orderlies-students who are getting practice. They took your old clothes and gave you new ones depending on the weather when you arrived. it is changed once a week. Each one is mostly white, but has colored parts to match the color of your sector and the number of your squad. the camp itself is located in the forest, far from the city and people. in the summer you are taken to swim in the nearest lake. The camp opened just recently, a year ago. there are not many people. You will not be released until Doc is personally convinced that you are completely healthy. 1 shift = 1 month. You can't come there and check out as a patient in the middle of the shift. (Do you have $100 for 1 shift?) this place can be compared to "ICC Artek", located in Crimea (currently in Russia) The camp is surrounded by a fence, which you can't climb over even if you really wanted to. There is a fence where graduates sign autographs or leave messages on these walls.

if you are a patient:

If you apply for participation yourself, you will have to come to the meeting place, they will talk to you and during the conversation they will give you candy with sleeping pills. When you feel sleepy, they will offer you a ride home. On the way, you will fall asleep and wake up in the examination room, tied to the bed. You will be examined by an orderly and sent to laziness in the red sector while your documents are prepared. If you did not submit the application yourself (for example, your parents, guardians, friends or the guardianship service), then the same thing may happen as if you submitted the application yourself. or where you may be taken from your home or the orphanage if you are there. the result will not change. you'll still wake up strapped to the exam bed. in fact, being tied to a bed is not just a joke or an attempt to scare. First of all, it is a test that can show how exhausted the patient's psyche is. If the patient, tied to the bed, resists, screams or breaks free, then his instinct for self-preservation is fine, and there is also a chance that the suicide will want to live. If the patient behaves quietly, does not resist and is calm, then this is an alarm bell. and secondly, this binding is necessary if the patient could potentially harm himself or the doctor/nurse who examines him. This test was invented by one of Doc's old friends and may seem cruel and brutal. But it is necessary to check the psyche. After this test you will be given a good sedative or antidepressant so that the examination goes smoothly. The staff has no right to harm you. They cannot hurt their charges. The doctors will try to help you and calm you down even during the "bed test".

if you are a nurse:

your job: to conduct all kinds of examinations in your specialties, as well as give medications to your wards. if you are not local, then you can be accommodated in the white sector (the white sector is a part of the camp intended for workers who cannot work at their place of residence. There are only 2 such houses at the moment.) You have no right to harm children in any way. If Doc finds out about this, you will be severely reprimanded. That's the best case scenario. In the worst case, you will be fired for cruelty to children. Doc himself is loyal to you and will try to support you, but in terms of relations with children, he is strict. He believes that everyone here is equal and worthy of support, and excessive cruelty should be punished.

if you are a doctor:

you can also conduct examinations if your qualifications allow it, but most often the “doctor” is a psychiatrist in staff jargon. Your job: look after the children. collectively with other important people, you can hold events at your request. Only one person out of 10 people has 2 guards assigned to them, so keeping an eye on people who are a little out of their mind is more difficult. Often there are many students working for you who have been hired to work in the green/blue sector. You can also be provided with accommodation in the white sector. study in camp

From September to May, all the children are required to go through topics at school and write tests. At this time, the groups go to their houses, where the counselor gives them the material and makes sure that the children have completed all the assignments. Often the assignments there are like: "read the text and answer the questions" or "solve the assignments based on the examples." Bad grades are not given. In total, there are no more than 3 lessons per day, 40 minutes each. Children with dyslexia study separately with a special teacher. Such lessons are available in Eventroom.

sectors in the camp

from 10 to 13 years old (green sector) from 14 to 16 years old (blue sector), from 17 to 20 years old (yellow sector), if you are inclined to hurt yourself and others and are obsessed with this idea , then you are in the red setor. The only difference is in the measures of residence and the amount of control. Each house has 5 bunk beds, a common table, lockers for clothes and things and a small bathroom. That is, in such a house there is only 1 common room. Squads 1 and 3 are for boys, Squads 2 and 4 are for girls. One squad lives in one house. The red sector is a little different - there are 10 single beds as well as children from different groups.

Now about sleeping pills: they are necessary both for safety and for good rest. Good sleep ensures good brain function. They are given in any case, usually under the pretext of candy, but if the patient is too violent and can harm himself, the orderlies or someone else, then they can use a syringe. The duration of action of the sleeping pill is from 6 to 12 hours depending on the dose. If we talk about safety, then this is a precautionary measure (there were cases when they did not give the medicine and the patients could attack the orderlies, which could lead to an accident, but everything was cooled down). And it is also symbolic, because there is an expression "2nd birthday", but the children themselves often call it "blissful sleep", because they fall asleep in the orderly's car, wake up in the camp, get treatment and, when they leave, they are again given candy for sleep, and when they wake up on the threshold of their home, they are no longer the same as when they left. The medicine has a side effect of a slight fog of memories and it really feels like a dream. And the last thing is the rule of the camp itself. Children should not know where they are for their own safety, so that they cannot escape.

The first 3 are medicines. These names were invented so that children would not understand what kind of medicines they were and would not be afraid. The rest appeared spontaneously.)
