APPEARANCE

Jayden, better known as Jay, has tanned skin, long dark brown hair, and brown eyes. His physique is strong and robust because of his fencing training.

PERSONALITY

Jay is a sneaky, confident, and handsome guy. Jay was raised to believe that he should have everything and forget about others as well. He is vengeful like Mal and he is athletic. As Jafar's son, Jay wants to earn his father's respect by stealing the "big prize". He doesn't like how friendship works. Jay always charms his way to get what he wants back on the Island. Like the others, Jay has never been shown affection by his father, so when he tries out for the tournament team and does so, he gets a chance to see what it's like to be a part of something so special. He has shown kleptomaniac tendencies, as he often steals objects on the fly. He can also be a flirt, having flirted with several girls in the film, including Lonnie and Audrey and in Wicked World flirting with CJ. He tends to be very rude and likes to fight with others or push those who get in his way, as shown in his first tournament tournament. As the film progresses, he grows to believe and enjoy friendship as he tells Mal, Evie, and Carlos that they need to work together to steal the wand and even defends Evie against Chad. By the end of the film, he is determined to become good, though he has not yet fully given up his kleptomaniac ways. Additionally, he seems to retain his tough confrontational attitude and will get into fights with those who anger him.

SKILLS

Driving: Jay is able to drive cars and motorcycles. Swordsmanship: Jay is able to hold his own in a sword fight. Superhuman Agility: Jay is capable of greater agility on the battlefield. Strength: Jay has muscular strength that allows him to give greater support to the team.

EXTRA::

His favorite class in Dragon Hall was Enrichment, as it taught him the skills needed for thievery. Unlike his friends, Jay doesn't even have a bed (a mattress in Carlos' case) to sleep on. He sleeps on a rug under a shelf in his father's shop, which has heavy televisions. He's pretty lucky he wasn't crushed to death. His father relies on him to stock his shop by stealing from everyone on the island; from then on, Jafar sells his stuff back. It is also mentioned that he attended Dragon Hall (a school for villains), and has two pets named Lagan and Derelict. In the book "Disney Descendants Yearbook", it is revealed that Jay has a "Secret Wish" which is for his father to become a successful businessman and never have to work again, while his "Not-So-Secret Wish" is to be on a Tournament team. It is also revealed that he wants to be a professional Tournament player (and then coach) when he grows up.
