Persona Attributes

origin

Bane is a supervillain who uses a steroid serum called Venom to achieve superhuman strength, durability, and agility. Bane was imprisoned from birth and subjected to military experiments using Venom. He used his strength and will to escape and became a criminal seeking to build an empire. Bane was the one who literally and figuratively broke the Dark Knight's spine, but was ultimately defeated by him when Venom's supply of bodies was cut off.

Physical appearance

In Arkham Origins, Bane, who has not yet been exposed to Titan nor is he as reliant on Venom, is radically different physically. Already a very intimidating figure, Bane stands at 2.03 m and is very muscular, a physical giant even in his normal state. He wears a black and white wrestler's mask, a thick, padded leather jacket covering a single Venom tube, and leather pants with boots. In Venom, Bane does not appear significantly different, though he is a few inches taller, has more muscle, and is much stronger. Under his mask, Bane has a shaved head and scars whose shape roughly approximates the patterns on his mask.

Personality

Bane was intimidating, brutal, violent, and powerful, using brute strength, cruelty, and cunning to win battles. Cruel and overconfident in his strength, he did not hesitate to use deception and power to achieve his goals, and was shown to be capable of thinking of somewhat intricate plans that would ultimately eliminate all of his enemies.

Before the Arkham Origins incident

Bane was one of eight assassins who were hired by the Joker, under the guise of the city's largest mob boss, Black Mask, to kill Batman for fifty million dollars on Christmas Eve. Smuggled into Gotham along with several of his fellow mercenaries courtesy of the crime lord, including his right-hand man Bird, Bane was greeted by several of Black Mask's henchmen at Dixon Docks, with two of them being Enforcers who were tasked with ensuring Bane was as tough as he claimed to be by engaging him in a brutal fight. Bane soundly defeated both men, breaking their necks in the process, and was awarded the $50 million contract for the Dark Knight's head, though the mercenary was more concerned with killing the hero for his own grand plans and designs, with the bounty simply being a nice consolation prize.

Arkham Origins Incident

Bane remained in hiding for the first part of the brutal Christmas Eve night and made his plans. While Bird and his men had taken control of several areas within the criminal underworld, Bane was called to a meeting at the Royal Hotel with Firefly, the Electrocutioner, and the Joker, the true mastermind behind the hiring of the assassins, who had been posing as Black Mask for several days for his own agenda of chaos. After the meeting, he waited at the Royal Hotel, knowing that Batman was coming for the Joker. When the Penthouse elevator door opened, Bane ripped Batman off the roof of the elevator, beat him, brought him before the Joker, and reluctantly gave them a minute to talk (which was due to the Joker's threat to detonate the Royal Hotel first while Batman, Bane, and himself were still inside when Bane attempted to kill Batman first).
