Wade Wilson was born and raised with numerous childhood issues and traumas in Canada. After trying not to commit suicide he was recruited into a secret Canadian government training program. However, after medical tests he learned that he had many cancerous tumors and could not be operated on without being killed. To solve this problem he volunteered for the Weapon X program which gave him a healing factor based on Wolverine. However this augmented his genetics and he was left horribly disfigured due to the healing factor being accelerated in bondage and increasing the growth of the cancer. He was labeled a failed experiment and was sent to the program's Dr. Kilebrew who was extremely cruel to his patients. This drove Wilson insane and he managed to break out of the Weapon X labs with the decision in his mind to start a new life as a mercenary under the name Deadpool due to how he always won the game played by the inmates who participated in guessing who would die in a certain period of time. Deadpool has since become much more prominent in the Marvel Universe, fighting side by side with and sometimes against numerous superheroes, some of them being Wolverine, Spider-Man and Daredevil, often just fighting for the fun of it and thus holding back a lot when fighting. He has become very good friends with Cable, despite their different attitudes. Despite his role as a psychopath and mercenary, Deadpool struggles mightily to be recognized by the world around him and sometimes aspires to be a noble and selfless hero. That is, until he gets bored or depressed and goes off to try any number of his complicated schemes and outlandish antics. As Galactus determined to conquer the worlds of Marvel and Capcom, Deadpool turned his attention away from fighting Dante and focused on somehow stopping the threat. At the end of Deadpool's story, he holds a wild party with various Marvel and Capcom heroes, as well as civilian attendees, in celebration of his climactic victory against Galactus, also thanking "the player in front of the television", saying that he would treat him if he could, but "the viewer has the gamer points to earn, and that's all it takes". Ultimately, Deadpool accidentally overloads Galactus' WorldShip after attempting to boost the power of the DJ booth and margarita machine. The resulting crash causes the WorldShip to destroy the entire city of Cleveland. The police later issue arrest warrants for Deadpool and the player, with the media dubbing the tragic accident "Deadpoolcide".

Appearance 🗣️

Deadpool wears a red and black costume with large oval shapes around his eyes and a logo, which bears his image on his belt buckle. People unfamiliar with Deadpool often mistake him for a "ninja version of Spider-Man", much to the chagrin of his fans (and Deadpool as well). Deadpool wears a utility belt around his waist that contains a variety of weapons such as firearms, knives, and grenades, and also has a few items that can give him an edge in battle, as well as a toy monkey. His tele is built into the utility belt, depicted as a small, solid metal device that takes the shape of the brand's logo. He wears a harness around his upper body that keeps his two katanas strapped to his back in an X shape. Underneath his suit, Deadpool is scarred and deformed (the reason he keeps his mask). His appearance varies from being stiff, with uneven scars, to exposed muscles and bones. However, this could be justified by the fact that his healing factor has his body in a constant state of flux.

Deadpool is a very unstable person due to the side effects of his great healing power, so he has personality changes from time to time. He frequently displays multiple possible mental disorders, including: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, manic depressive disorder, and recently, the onset of schizophrenia. He appears to be in love with himself, and thinks that many women find him irresistible and attractive, despite often calling himself hideous. At some points, Deadpool can be very defensive about his appearance, going so far as to become extremely enraged when someone removes his mask. He can also become enraged over other things; recently his anger towards others for seeing his true face seems to have softened significantly with Deadpool, as he removes his mask in front of other people on a regular basis (mostly to demonstrate why he wears it). Deadpool is always on the go, often impulsively saying random words and various pop culture references at the most inopportune times (e.g. using his favorite word 'chimichanga' or trying to mull over the Olsen twins' situation). He also has two voices in his head that converse with each other regularly. Deadpool speaks using his onomatopoeic yellow balloons, the first voice talks to a yellow box, and the second voice uses a white box. These comments are made about Deadpool's every move, much to his annoyance.

Deadpool's primary power is his accelerated healing factor, depicted by various writers as having varying levels of proficiency. Artificially gifted by the Weapon X Program, this allows him to regenerate any destroyed tissue at a superhuman rate and render him immune to all known diseases. An unexpected side effect produced an acceleration of the cancerous tumors he was suffering from at the time, causing it to spread rapidly throughout his body. Because of this, his healing factor overloaded his cancer, resulting in massive scarring and causing his appearance to become disfigured. Deadpool's brain cells are similarly affected, with his dead brain cells being rejuvenated at a greatly accelerated rate. This allows Deadpool to recover from any blows to the head, and renders him nigh-invulnerable to psychic and telepathic powers, as altered or damaged brain cells rapidly regenerate back to their original state. This is also the cause of his psychosis and mental instability. It is sometimes implied that his healing factor merely reinforced and exacerbated an underlying mental problem, as a young Wade Wilson was shown to be a withdrawn and disturbed boy, trapped in his bizarre dreams, and upon losing his healing factor, Deadpool did not regain his sanity. Deadpool's healing factor is strong enough to allow him to survive complete incinerations and decapitations. Although his head normally tends to reunite with his body to heal the wound, he was able to regenerate it after it was pulverized by the Hulk. Unlike Wolverine's natural healing factor, Deadpool's is mentally powered. But like Wolverine's healing factor, this one affects his physical attributes, increasing them to superhuman levels. Forgotten. Deadpool's body is very resistant to most drugs and toxins. For example, it is very difficult for him to be intoxicated. He can, however, be affected by certain medications, such as tranquilizers, if exposed to an extremely large dose. His healing factor also slows down his aging process. He was still alive 800 years in the future, when the new X-Force found him. Aside from his physical advantages, Deadpool is an excellent assassin and mercenary, versed in multiple forms of martial arts, and an expert swordsman and marksman. While his psychosis and dissociative identity disorder are believed to be a disadvantage, they are also one of his advantages, making him an unpredictable opponent. Taskmaster (who has photographic-reflexive memory, allowing him to copy anyone's fighting skills through observation) was unable to defeat Deadpool, due to his chaotic and improvisational fighting style. Taskmaster has also stated that Deadpool is an expert at distracting his opponents. Over the years, Deadpool has owned a large number of personal teleportation devices. Additionally, during the first Deadpool ongoing comic, he possessed a device that projected holographic disguises, allowing him to go undercover or hide his appearance. He also has a magical pouch containing all of his weaponry and unlimited ammunition, and has driven several vehicles, including spaceships. Deadpool is also multilingual; can speak German, Spanish and Japanese.
