Appearance

Ciel Phantomhive is a 13-year-old boy with dark blue hair and sky blue eyes, the pupil being a deeper shade. Nina Hopkins, his tailor, describes Ciel as having a "wonderfully proportioned" body. Her legs are thin and her waist is narrow; Likewise, it could be said that Ciel is small for his age, due to his height and physical build. Ciel usually dresses in suits (which generally combine black and blue) appropriate to his social status. Ciel carries two rings, one of them is worn on his left thumb, and it is a silver piece adorned with a deep blue sapphire that has been passed down from generation to generation. The other is a golden signet ring with the insignia of the Phantomhive Family. Ciel uses this on his right hand to seal the documents. The latter was given to him by his aunt Angelina Durless as it was the only one that was not consumed in the fire. Ciel has the mark of a red-hot iron burn on the left side of his body, which he received during his time as a slave in a satanic cult.

Contract

Ciel has the mark of his contract with Sebastian in his right eye, which is permanently activated. Personality

As a child, Ciel did not often leave the mansion due to the sickly condition he had inherited from his mother. This turned him into a scared child with low self-esteem, who could always be seen behind his father due to the fear that new people caused him, and as a spectator who was forbidden to leave the house and who spent his days watching the others have fun from the window. Unlike his brother, Ciel was a calm and silent child, almost imperceptible in the mansion because he spent most of his time reading or playing in his room. Ciel had an inferiority complex with his older brother, whom he described as a "cute, strong, cheerful and trustworthy" person, while he described himself as one who would not become an earl. After many comparisons on his part, he expresses with some envy and sadness that his brother was very lucky. Ciel often came to feel like a "burden" to others, as he was always sick and not able to do the same things as his brother. This is demonstrated when the family is ready to go boating, but Ciel remains ill and is unable to do so. At that moment, Ciel crestfallen says that it would be better for them to leave without him, so that they wouldn't have to give up on their trip. Tanaka describes it as a mature and serious action on his part, rewarding him for his effort despite knowing the sadness it caused him. In the old man's words, Ciel was a child with a kind heart and considerate of others. Within his condition, Ciel always felt that he was a happy child with people who truly cared about him, remembering experiencing several moments of joy.
