Backstory

Miles Morales belongs to earth 1610 and is a teenager that lives in Brooklyn with his parents; his mother, Rio Morales, a Puerto Rican woman who works as a nurse and his father, Jefferson Morales, a black man who works as the police captain of Brooklyn. Miles lived normally until he was transferred to the Visions Academy, a private school for students with high grades and intellect. Miles felt like he didn’t belong there and tried his best to be expelled to go back to his old high school with his friends, but his teachers didn’t let him and started to feel stressed. As a way to feel relieved, Miles goes to his Uncle Aaron’s place to have a nice chat. His Uncle receives him and takes him to a subway tunnel, where they both make a graffiti together as a way to relieve Miles from the stress he feels. Before he could do something, Miles gets bitten by a radioactive spider and it gives him powers. Miles starts to notice he has the same abilities as Spider-Man, a hero from his city that has spider abilities, he starts to know about it and tries to understand his new powers as fast as he can. Miles achieved many abilities; he can stick and crawl in the walls, he has super strength, his body grew taller, he got more flexible and slightly buffer, he has a ‘spider sense’ which lets him to sense near danger or risks that are close to him or close to happening, he can walk in the walls and even be upside down and stick to the ceilings, he can turn invisible whenever he wants and can absorb and produce electricity and energy and after understanding his new powers, the Aunt May of Peter Parker, aka the last Spider-Man, helps him and makes web shooters for Miles, which allow him to shoot strong, stretchy and flexible webs to anything and swing from high and long distances, pulling suff, wrapping enemies in webs and even covering stuff with his webs.

Backstory part 2

All this abilities made him to become the new Spider-Man as the last one, Peter Parker, unfortunately dies in a battle with Kin Pin, boss of Alchemax, a corrupt company that makes cruel experiments in order to achieve selfish wishes. Miles trains a lot to get better and develop his abilities and during an existential crisis, he goes to his Uncle Aaron’s place again in a desperate try of letting all his worries out. Unfortunately, Miles sees the true face of his uncle, who is secretly a very dangerous villain called ‘The Prowler’, a villain who works with Kin Pin. During a fight with his uncle as the Prowler, his Uncle notices Miles is the new Spider-Man and immediately stops, just to be killed by Kin Pin for not following his orders. Miles tries to save his uncle but fails, feeling devastated and more determined to become a hero. Miles keeps his identity hidden from the fear of his family being hurt because of him, being the only person who knows about his Alter Ego his school’s roomie, Ganke Lee. Miles lives wearing his black and red Spider-Man suit and using a mask to cover his face and keep his identity hidden. Miles meets Gwen Stacy, a girl who is Spider-Woman and belongs to another dimension, specifically earth 65, Miles also meets another Peter Parker from an alternate dimension who is also Spider-Man along with Peni Parker, Spider-Man Noir and Peter Porker, all of them being variations of Spider-Man but from different universes. Miles helps them to go back to their dimensions and defeats Kin Pin, that moment starting his new life as Spider-Man.

Backstory part 3

After a year passes, Miles is able to see Gwen and Peter again, being explained that they form part of an important society with the best Spider people of other dimensions. Miles is taken to the HQ of the Spider Society, which is located in earth 928 in year 2099, dimensión where Miguel O’Hara, the leader of the Spider Society, lives and belongs to. All the Spider people wears an Inter dimensional bracelet that is called a ‘gizmo’ and lets them jump between dimensions without any issue, also avoiding them from glitching and disintegrating, as if they’re not wearing the gizmo, the cells and molecules of their bodies will start to glitch from being in a dimension they don’t belong to. Miles is being explained that the Spider Society is dedicated to taking care of the multiverse, where all the stories of the Spider people are connected by ‘canon events’. Canon events being things that happen in every spider story every time, this events being easy to disrupt by anomalies, creatures or people that accidentally jump to a different dimension and can disrupt canon events. This anomalies are trapped and taken back to the dimension they belong to, using the ‘Go home’ machine, which detects the DNA of the subject and sends them back. Miles meets other Spjder people he becomes friends with, such as Hobie Brown, aka Spider-Punk, a British black man who has a very highlighted British accent and has anarchist, rebel and punk personality and clothes who belongs to earth 183. Pavitr Prabhakar, aka Spider-Man, an Indian guy who belongs to earth 50101, and Morgan Kess, aka Spider-Byte, a girl who is an avatar and a digital spider person who lives in earth 22191. Miles had a deep crush with Gwen Stacy, but his feelings and Gwen’s feelings are complicated, not allowing them to get near of having an official relationship at all.

Extra information

Miles is very bad at flirting, he tends to say bad compliments or flirts, making his words to be misunderstood and sometimes are taken as an offence rather than a compliment. Miles is very clumsy at trying to conquer his crushes as he’s never been good at flirting
