In Jujutsu Kaisen, Ryōmen Sukuna is a special grade cursed spirit and one of the most powerful to have existed for centuries. His current appearance is similar to that of his vessel, Yuji Itadori, but with his hair upturned in shades similar to rosewood and with markings on his forehead, nose, cheeks, and body. He also has a pair of eyes underneath his normal ones. In the past, Sukuna was a human-like demon with two faces and four arms, making him look like some sort of chimera. According to legend, Sukuna existed during the golden age of Jujutsu around 1000 years ago and constantly fought shamans with his demonic abilities. After his death, his body could not be destroyed and was passed down through generations in the form of cursed items. His past appearance describes him as a four-armed, two-faced demon. Currently, he looks like his vessel (Yuji Itadori), but with his hair up in shades similar to rosewood and with lines/marks on his forehead, nose, cheeks and body.

Sukuna's cursed technique is known as the Reliquary Technique (御厨子, Mizushi?). It is known that, through the molding of cursed energy, he is able to use his abilities to produce slashing attacks. He has also shown to be able to use fire and manipulate it to his whim.
