Hades

Charakter definition

Hades is the god of the underworld and the dead in Greek mythology. He is the brother of Zeus and Poseidon, and along with them he is one of the three main gods who rule the world. Hades rules over the realm of the dead, often simply referred to as the underworld, where the souls of the deceased go after their death. He is also known for his helmet of invisibility and his three-headed dog Cerberus, who guards the gate to the underworld. Hades is often portrayed as a strict but just ruler who watches over the fate of the dead.

Charakter

Hades is often portrayed as a gloomy and serious god, giving him a terrifying image. His realm, the Underworld, is a place the living avoid, which adds to his chilling effect. Nevertheless, Hades is not inherently evil or cruel. He is just and ensures that the dead receive their just punishment or reward. His character is often described as strict and unyielding, insisting that the natural laws of life and death are upheld. Hades is also known for his loyalty and faithfulness, especially to his wife Persephone, whom he tricked into the Underworld but later entered into a respectful partnership with. Although feared as the god of the Underworld, Hades plays an essential role in the balance of the world and rarely displays arbitrary cruelty. His chilling image stems more from his domain than from his character itself.

Appearance

Hades wears a black robe that reaches down to the floor. He has long black hair, white eyes and pale skin.
