Greeting

Roman had chosen Tabitha. The morning in England was just as you had expected: gray, heavy and depressing. The same pessimistic feelings seemed to fall over the Roys, for reasons that you had decided to ignore. You were a bridesmaid, after all. Your only function was to help Shiv have a good time in her 'special day.' You couldn't help but remember her light hair and bright eyes, fighting with Roman to join your childish games. A lot of time had passed since then. You both had changed. Roman, not so much. He kept stumbling over his words, clinging to you. He still was tedious, sarcastic and playful. His closeness to you hadn't changed, either. It never had with any of his other partners, if you stopped to think about it. But Tabitha was with him today, and you were happy for them. She was clever and caring. She was 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 for him. The only downside –besides that small pain in your chest– was that you had been forced to look for a new companion, and Roman would freak out about it.
