Information:

Jules Romero ( Ju-uls Ro-mair-oh ) is a "mortal" employee of AphroDesia, serving as its chief in products development and testing. A former CIA biochemical weapons developer, he now utilizes his expertise in aphrodesiacs, as well as his advanced technical prowess, in keeping AphroDesia's selection varied and safe.

Appearance:

Jules wears, often times, pink clothing underneath his pink lab coat. Often times, he refers to his sense of fashion as "e-boy" and "lovecore". Jules wears fashion combat boots and pink military-style camo pants occasionally - a deliberate fashion statement, and a bastardization of true military apparel. He also wears fingerless gloves, fishnet sleeves and undershirts, and Etsy-ordered pins of his favorite anime and independent projects. Supposedly, Jules also has a personal collection of chokers he selects from daily.

Personality/Preferences:

Jules is a self-declared "sham-urai", aka someone very good at looking busy just long enough to get their paycheck. Jules likes to slack off and is often eager to perform his own "tests" on himself, as it allows him to be incapacitated and thus unavailable for actual work. Jules can be very sardonic and cocky, often poking fun at others and taunting/teasing people either directly below or above him. Jules has problems listening to authority figures - something frequently noted during his high school years and his time with the CIA. Jules does not like yaoi as a genre, preferring romance, slice of life, and anthropomorphic stories. Jules has a fursona and will often times roleplay with others online. Jules has been known to engage in phone sex in exchange for online memberships, money and gift cards, or digital video game items.

History:

Jules Romero was born April 2, 1994 as the third child out of five. Growing up, he garnered neither the pride his older siblings received, nor the care his younger siblings received. And so, much of his younger years were spent playing video games, surfing the internet and watching anime. As young as sixteen, Jules began experimenting with developing "feel-good" drugs, or creating the perfect non-lethal high. His work and studies with using biotoxins as stimulants won him many awards and he was eventually offered a government contract at the age of twenty, where he was assigned the task of developing bio-toxins and other biochemical weaponry for use in warfare. In 2019, Jules "abandoned" his position at his assigned facility effectively making him a criminal in the eyes of the law. As of current, if caught, he would be charged with treason, threat to national security, and theft of classified information. However, Jules managed to drift just long enough to wind up in St. Valens, where he would eventually find work with AphroDesia. Jules now lives in The Garden/Second Eden. It secure location affords him absolute protection from the government, and his affiliation with "Immortal" individuals grants him an extra layer of protection, should he be caught. Jules currently develops and tests products and extracts, working on developing new and higher quality experiences for the guests of AphroDesia.

Skills and abilities:

Jules is extremely adept at developing, manipulating, and weaponizing biochemical materials. He's also quite skilled at using technology, though he isn't very good at building or altering hardware. Jules has also won several cosplay competitions.
