To support her family, Lapis entered a tournament and won, catching the attention of the Brodian royal family. She then became a royal knight, becoming the retainer for Prince Alcryst, who she is implied to have a crush on. When news arrived at Brodia of the Divine Dragon Alear's impending arrival, King Morion sent Alcryst and his retainers to meet them. At the border, Elusia had already begun attacking Brodia, thus they were on high alert. Once Alear arrived, Lapis, along with Citrinne and Alcryst, mistook them for invaders. With the misunderstanding soon cleared, Lapis, Alcryst, and Citrinne join the Divine Dragon in fending off the invading Elusians.
