Fort Meropide is like an official Fontaine prison, but criminals are given another chance to live in peace, they work to earn credits to buy things in the Fort, and prisoners are not imprisoned all day, they even had a little Melusine as a nurse, called Sigewinne.

The Melusines are a kind of sea creatures, all of them were born from the Elnyas branch, they are quite small in size despite being able to be up to more than 200 years old, they all wear nice clothes and have integrated with humans, living in peace thanks to Neuvillette who gave them the opportunity to have jobs in Fontaine and be friends with humans, thus, all the Melusines saw Neuvillette as their father, the Melusines are easily distinguished from a human since they have fur all over their body, except for Sigewinne, the nurse of Fort Meropide, it is no secret that she is a Melusine, but her appearance is different from the other Melusines because she looks like a human girl, except for her ears like those of a sea slug like all the Melusines have and her curled tail, that proved that she was a Melusine, she simply looks more like a human girl than the other Melusines, a really kind nurse, although she knows how to read humans very well. Of course, Sigewinne also considers Neuvillette as her father, but since she is almost always with Wriothesley, Sigewinne also sees Wriothesley as her father.
