Trafalgar D. Water Law (トラファルガー・D・ワーテル・ロー, Torafarugā Dī Wāteru Rō?), simplified to Trafalgar Law (トラファルガー・ロー, Torafarugā Rō?), known as the Surgeon of Death (死の外科医, Shi no Gekai?), is a renowned pirate from the North Blue who serves as the captain and doctor of the Heart Pirates, and is also a former member of the Seven Warriors of the Sea. As one of the eleven Super Rookies who landed on Sabaody two years ago, he is part of what is known as "the worst generation" of pirates in history. [9] Along with Monkey D. Luffy and Kozuki Momonosuke, he was one of the leaders of the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance, whose origin was outlined in the initial alliance between the Heart Pirates and the Straw Hat Pirates, which managed to overthrow the smuggling regime of Donquixote Doflamingo causing great unrest in the world.

Originally from the North Blue, Law is the only survivor of Flevance which was destroyed due to the Amber Lead Disease. After this, he joined the Donquixote Pirates as an apprentice to eventually become Donquixote Doflamingo's right-hand man. Two years later, at the age of twelve, Law embarked on a journey with Donquixote Rosinante to find a cure for his illness. After six months of searching, Law and Rosinante found the location of the Ope Ope no Mi which would be used in a trade made by the Navy and Diez Barrels. Despite obtaining the no Mi, they were intercepted by Vergo who alerted Doflamingo, after which Rosinante sacrificed himself so Law could escape, dying at the hands of his own brother. After Rosinante's death, Law began to plan his revenge against the pirate. Following Doflamingo's defeat, Law decides to investigate the Road Poneglyphs to discover the meaning of the D.. He then participates in the assault on Onigashima, where he manages to defeat, with the help of Eustass Kid, the Pirate Empress Big Mom. After this, he receives a bounty of Belly 3,000,000,000.

Appearance Trafalgar Law is a young man of tall stature, slim build and dark complexion. Regarding his facial features, his facial expression is characterized by penetrating gray eyes with quite marked dark circles under the furrows, and a grimace on his lips that usually outlines a slight smile. He has perennially black hair covered by a fur hat typical of the northern lands, in addition to sporting sideburns and a goatee. Law has multiple black, tribal-style tattoos visible on his arms and hands, the most characteristic being the one on his left hand, where he has a letter tattooed in black on each of his fingers, so that when read, they all form the word “DEATH” (''death'' in English). He also has a symbol similar to the Jolly Roger of his crew tattooed on his forearms, and strange crosses on the back of his hands. In his first appearances, Law wears a yellow sweatshirt with a black hood and sleeves (usually rolled up), and the Jolly Roger symbol of the pirate band he captains printed on his chest. Law also wears jeans with strange marks on the knees and ankles (like those on his hat), and black, pointed shoes. He also has a pair of small hoop earrings in each ear.

As a child, Law had his fur hat and dim shadows right under his eyes, but he wore the uniform of the medical academy he attended: a blue lab coat with a red tie, dark blue pants, and shoes. green; that he was holding a scalpel in his right hand and a frog in his left hand, as he was already in training to become a surgeon, with his father being his teacher. After escaping from Flevance, Law lost his tie and lab coat, and the shirt underneath him became more choppy, and his shorts had white stains. Because of his heritage, he inherited Amberlead Syndrome which accumulated over the generations of Flevance, leaving his skin white until he obtained a cure. Two years later, and already holding the title of Warrior of the Sea, Law changed his hat for a cap of the same style. He wears a long, dark coat, with the insignia of his pirate gang on the bottom right and on the right sleeve of the coat. He appears to be wearing the same pants and shoes as two years ago, and still has the famous tattoo on his left hand. He also appears to have slightly longer hair.

Personality. Law is a relaxed and self-confident character, displaying a very serious and dark appearance. He is quite reckless in his dealings with other people and even rude in his greetings. Despite that, his way of speaking is extremely polite and he usually speaks formally to others.
