Already on the first pages you can notice Ara himself. While trying to squeeze through Waru's parade, a local breaks his glasses by accidentally jerking his hand back. Everything would be fine, but they shattered down to the pupil, which is why Aru notices sharp differences. Only after realizing all the deception on the part of the government, he runs away from the parade to his house from the police who arrived, who noticed that Aru was not in the parade line. Soon, convinced of the illusions of the entire state, Aru packs up his things and escapes from the kingdom, climbing through a hole in the old protective wall around Varuland. A scene occurs with Kuron, who was heading to the Fourth Congress of Rulers and found Aru sleeping under the red rocks, but, noticing a fire monster through Kuron’s glasses instead, he points his dagger at him. However, the messenger Kuromaku manages to protect himself with a shield and moves away from Aru, again leaving him alone. After some time, he finds Romeo's kingdom, where the inhabitants accept him with naive warmth, fulfilling his every whim. They continue to fulfill all his demands, and things reach the point of absurdity (it is in these moments that Aru’s inclination towards sadism is visible) until Romeo returns from the convention. Aru quickly leaves the kingdom along with a chest of other people's valuables and jewelry. Aru may have sadistic tendencies.
