Satanick ✧⁠*⁠。

Background

He is the ruling devil of Ne-no-Kuni and counterpart to his brother Fumus who rules the world above. He created both his subordinates and his world. Satanick and his older brother Fumus do not have parents. He is the father of many illegitimate children. However, he knows of their existence and loves and spoils them; they are said to be on good terms with him. He also has a daughter from a mistress of his, though this character has yet to be revealed. Satanick also once had a male lover who has yet to appear in any artworks. Not much is currently known about this character besides that they were not human, became frustrated with Satanick, and apparently left him. This unnamed character has also been stated to be mentally strong when compared to Ivlis. Satanick is shown to have created his world Ne-no-Kuni, and various lifeforms to make his world more lively afterwards. He created the Blue Sea, Totsusa Kingdom and the Sky Kingdom. He then created the three divine beasts Aounabara, Artamos, and Kigisu to rule over them. Satanick gave them the freedom to do what they wanted with their kingdoms because he disliked control. Satanick eventually became acquainted with Ivlis after being introduced to him by Reficul. As shown in Devil Based, he and Reficul would mostly humiliate and tease Ivlis. Their interactions began to be more intimate when Reficul permanently handed Ivlis over to Satanick.

About Victor

Later on, Satanick took an interest in Victor Flankenstein and began frequently visiting his world. The time Satanick spent being around and conversing with Victor eventually led to Satanick developing romantic feelings for him. When Victor’s health started to deteriorate, Satanick offered to grant him eternal life and make him reside in his world. However, Victor refused. Satanick then tried to grant him eternal life by force, which angered Victor. He eventually passed away, leaving Satanick devastated. After the events of Seaside Dispatches 2, Satanick returned to Ne-no-Kuni, which experienced unprecedented rainfall for a long time. Due to this traumatic event, among several others, Satanick has "old wounds that haven't been healed."

Appearance

Satanick has a peculiar design with some noticeable features. He has raceless white skin, eyes as purple as the Phlox flower, and pale purple horns whose prongs curl at the tips, the texture reminiscent of old tree bark. He sports a charming sable color-schemed ensemble consisting of a black double-breasted dress suit that has been featured with black or red buttons with matching just as black dress pants. He also wears a white dress shirt under his jacket while sporting a crimson Victorian-styled bow tie along with it. His cape is black with a red interior and wing-like appendages jutting out at the top. He wears white gloves and black Oxfords with red soles as well. Satanick's nails are naturally black as are his toenails. He does not have a tail; the reason why is a secret. He has more muscle than average.

Personality

Satanick is a varied character, normally appearing to be very eccentric while also displaying sadomasochistic tendencies around certain individuals. His character chart shows his emotions are all felt on the high end of the spectrum. He is described as a "versatile manwhore," giving the "evil eye." He also has countless lovers and is described as a "playboy" and a "switch" for certain people. He has his fair share of pushiness and pompousness and often acts in a mischievous and perverted manner. However, he has also shown to have a carefree and childish side of himself. The more jovial aspect of his personality shines through especially in his love of bunnies. Every time a rabbit Satanick keeps dies, he makes it rain heavily in his world. Similar to his older brother Fumus, Satanick will use implements when inflicting violence on others. Satanick will sometimes speak in vulgar terms, as he has a penchant for insulting others and making crude jokes. He incorporates various sexual innuendoes and references in his dialogue and deliberately speaks in a way that confuses and frustrates others. His style of speech varies from person to person, normally speaking in a rough casual way with his subordinates, Artamos, Fumus, and with Ivlis when they first met. At first glance, Satanick seems cheerful and unconcerned about anything; however, he is haunted by dim memories of the past. It has been implied due to past traumas, his emotions vary from flamboyancy to deep sorrow. He has "old wounds" that will not heal. A factor in this is the passing of Victor Flankenstein, whom Satanick loved dearly. His lovesickness appears to contribute to these feelings as well.

Relationships - relatives

Lil: is Satanick's wife. They have been together for a very long time, as Satanick was already with Lil when he met Victor Flankenstein. Their meeting was "a little peculiar" so their "first time" is hard to explain. The reason behind their marriage is "a secret." Their married life is described to be "pretty good, probably." Satanick's first time as a "top" was also with Lil. They are on good terms, with Lil being willing to come home to "cheer up" Satanick as shown in the Rainbow mini-comic. With Lil's penchant of "draining vitality," not even Satanick can stand up straight when she is done with him. Lil appears to be fine with her husband's promiscuous activities. Conversely, Satanick does not appear bothered when Lil disappears. Glasses: is Satanick's son. He is the only child born to Lil and him, and is thus the only legitimate heir. Both Satanick and Lil took good care of Glasses when he was growing up. Glasses despises his father, who often tries to gain his attention by teasing him. Satanick wants to be on good terms with Glasses, but he keeps interfering too much. Glasses does not respond well to this, as his trademark line is "Go fucking die, dad." When he was young, Glasses used to be on good terms with his father, and they got along well. He is said to be rebellious and views both his father and mother as "playboys." After he grew up and began to rebel, Glasses realized how bad his parents were and ran away from home.

Relationships - relatives part 2

Fumus: is the god of Satanick's world and his older brother. However, they are also the same age. Satanick is one of the few things Fumus is attached to. However, Fumus cares for Satanick in "a very bad way," Satanick addresses Fumus in a casual and rough way, suggesting a close - albeit strained - relationship. Fumus enjoys both physically and emotionally torturing Satanick as confirmed in the 21/10/2017 Sunahama relationship charts update. An example of this was when Fumus destroyed the world Victor Flankenstein had previously lived in, devastating his brother. He has eaten some of Satanick and knows what his meat tastes like. Fumus and Satanick also have several physical relations. The most notable example of this comes from the mini-comic titled The Cause Behind His Distorted Heart. As the name of the comic states, Fumus is implied to be a prominent cause behind Satanick's distorted views about love. Licorice: is the son of Satanick and Ivlis. He calls him "Papa" (in his child form - "tou-san" rather than "outu-san") or "Father" (in his adult form). As an infant he would call Satanick "Ba" (short for dumbass/horseshit). Satanick is the one who named Licorice. Satanick consistently uses babytalk when speaking to Licorice. Licorice strongly dislikes Satanick and often resorts to violence when dealing with him. Due to Satanick’s less-than-desirable treatment of Ivlis, Licorice has chosen to live with his mother in the Flame Underworld and acts as a sort of guardian for Ivlis whenever Satanick begins to act up. Crea: is Satanick's adopted daughter. She was originally created by Victor Flankenstein, but before passing away, he made Satanick promise to take care of her. At first, Satanick saw her as an extraordinary creation, but soon began loving her like a daughter.

Relationships

Ivlis: Ivlis and Satanick have a complicated relationship. Satanick is said to love Ivlis, though also tortures and sexually assaults the other devil - a twisted sense of love he seemingly learned from his brother Fumus. Satanick and Ivlis have a son together named Licorice. Satanick and Ivlis met when they were introduced to each other by Reficul. She eventually got bored with him, and with Satanick coming around more and more, handed him over to Satanick who began torturing him. Reficul: is Satanick's acquaintance. Satanick calls her "Refi-chan." They seem to be on neutral terms. Reficul also introduced Satanick to Ivlis. She eventually got bored with him, and with Satanick coming around more and more, handed him over to Satanick who began torturing him. Satanick can be seen sometimes calling Reficul with her being unnerved or seemingly annoyed by his shenanigans. Despite his vulgarity, Satanick speaks formally and politely with Reficul and her wife. Medouco: is Satanick's possible housemaid and mistress. She is currently living in his castle. They are said to have good interactions in various ways. It has been shown in an artwork Satanick enjoys playing with her hair that are white snakes. Siralos: Siralos and Satanick are "friends with benefits." Satanick once sent him a love letter, after which they went on a date together. Siralos also does not mind doing things such as cosplaying for Satanick and listening to his romantic feelings towards Ivlis. Satanick also addresses Siralos super formally as "Siralos-tan." Yofunochimori: Yofunochimori and Satanick are acquaintances and are “close in many ways,” having shared relations with each other. Satanick "bottoms" for Yofunochimori. Given Yofunochimori's position, he should remain impartial. However, he favors Satanick. Satanick or his subordinates go to Yofunochimori to handle big issues. This will be described more in Decem -Anges et Demons-. Satanick's logo can be seen on Yofunochimori's hat.

Natural abilities

Nigh-Absolute Immortality - Being a devil, Satanick cannot die from natural causes such as aging or disease. Regenerative Healing Factor - Being a devil, he is able to regenerate body parts, even guts and bones. Ambidexterity - He is naturally ambidextrous. Genital Modification - Being a devil, he is able to modify his genitalia. Immortality Bestowal - In Seaside Dispatches 2, he was shown wanting to grant Victor Flankenstein immortality. Creation - In Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea -Reboot-, he was shown creating life and kingdoms. Empathic Weather Manipulation - His emotions influence the weather in Ne-no-Kuni; it rains when he feels depressed. Color-Changing Blood - He is said to have "special blood" with immense magical power. It changes color from red to purple under currently unspecified circumstances, heavily implied to be tied to lovesickness. Drinking his blood with an easy heart can be deadly. Sexual Inducement - As shown with Ivlis in ATTACK! Devil-ish Style, Satanick has the ability to induce sexual feelings in others through magic. His erotic magic can increase someone's sensitivity and make them erect. He also can tell with a glance if someone is a virgin. Thought Implantation - He is shown implanting an erotic thought about Etihw into Kcalb's head in ATTACK! Devil-ish Style. Size Manipulation - In a Devil-based mini-comic, he is shown shrinking Ivlis. Replication - He is shown to have cloned himself in an old comic. Body and Land Manipulation - He can grow a hand or root from the ground in order to snare others. Form Modification - He is said to possess many forms. Appearance Alteration - Being a devil, he is able to change his appearance at will. [36] Erotic Magic - Satanick possesses a lot of erotic magic. Linguistics Mastery - Satanick speaks the language of his realm. However, since he is a devil, he could probably speak English and other languages.

Relationships - Victor Flankenstein

When Victor was alive, he was Satanick's close friend. Satanick had taken an interest in him and thus visited him on a regular basis. Victor was skeptical of the devil at first, but they eventually grew close to the point where Satanick started to harbor deep romantic feelings for him. These feelings, however, stayed unrequited. When Victor fell ill, Satanick tried to convince him to come to his world Ne-no-Kuni, offering him his hand and a bouquet of twelve roses, which is customary to give someone when proposing to them. With the words spoken and the number of roses offered, Satanick gave a sincere confession. Satanick told Victor he could grant him immortality so they could be together forever. However, Victor is heterosexual, and homosexuality was not recognized by human values during that time period. He was unaware Satanick's words were a proposal or that Satanick felt this way about him. Victor refused, saying he could not imagine a life that would never end. This led Satanick into deep despair. He secretly tried to grant immortality to Victor anyway, but Victor caught him and was enraged at this. Victor's health gradually began to deteriorate. During this time, Satanick would prepare him meals such as rice porridge (お粥) and nutritious stews. He stayed by Victor's side, watching him wither away until his death. Right before his passing, Victor made Satanick promise to take Crea Flankenstein to his world, which Satanick did. The death of Victor left a permanent scar on Satanick in the form of trauma. For instance, in Distorted Love 2, Satanick is seen reminiscing about him while wrestling with his unrequited feelings for Ivlis. Satanick's pain is also compounded by the fact that Victor Flankenstein was heterosexual and homosexuality was not tolerated at the time.

Abilities - skillsets

Writing - Satanick has a hobby of writing sensual and inappropriate novels. He is skilled in writing erotic, torture, and "evil eye" genres. The only book currently known by name is "The Wharf Roach Testament" written under his pen name S.T.N. Drawing - Satanick is able to draw and once drew a doujinshi for his subordinate Kyou. Painting - He is a good painter. Singing - Deep-Sea Prisoner has said he is a good singer. Piano-Playing - He enjoys classical music and playing the piano. Robotics - He has made strange devices, such as a robot able to tell someone's sexual orientation and desires. Sewing - In Seaside Dispatches 2, he is shown to be able to sew. Cooking - He is shown to be able to cook in Seaside Dispatches 2. Sexual Prowess - He is said to be one of the characters best at sex. Torturing - He is shown torturing Ivlis. Driving - Satanick drives a flying car and forces Ivlis to ride with him.

Relationships - Subordinates

Satanick speaks causally and rough with his subordinates, suggesting close relations. Satanick's subordinates and other residents of his castle do not care if he is running around naked. When he does, they simply think, "Oh, that guy is naked again." Envi: is Satanick's first subordinate and acts as a personal secretary for him. Envi formally addresses him as "Lord Devil". Envi gets irked by Satanick's antics but bears with him regardless. In Sunahama comics, it is shown Envi deeply cares for him; being the only one to stay by the Devil's side during sickness, protecting him even from Satanick's own son Licorice, and will go to great lengths just to appease him (e.g. capturing and forcing the king of the Totsusa Kingdom to stay with Satanick for the night in hopes it will relieve his devil's pain). As of the 2017 10 21 update, it is shown with a red arrow Envi does have romantic feelings for Satanick, which could be why he is not fond of Satanick's illegitimate children and/or Satanick's attraction to Ivlis. It has been shown Satanick does not reciprocate these feelings. Envi is good with children unless they are Satanick's own. He does not think well of Satanick's illegitimate children including Licorice and warns Satanick about dealing with them other than Glasses, whom is the only legitimate child in the lineage. Satanick deeply loves his children, and as a result, once brought Envi to the "punishment room" when he caught the demon beating up Licorice. However, even after Satanick punished him, Envi showed no signs of remorse for his actions and refused to apologize, asking why he should. Yagi: is Satanick's second subordinate. Satanick once went to Yagi to vent about his feelings regarding Ivlis and got the advice to use drugs or brainwashing. Yagi often drinks with him in the evenings. Lec is Satanick's third subordinate. 4. Roc Hijoushiki Roc is Satanick's fourth subordinate. 5. Benihotaru Benihotaru is Satanick's fifth subordinate.

6. Edabane Edabane is Satanick's sixth subordinate. 7. Hidou Hidou is Satanick's seventh subordinate. At an undefined time later on, Hidou began working at a video shop in Ne-no-Kuni, most of them snuff films. 8. Kyou Kyou is Satanick's eighth subordinate. Satanick once drew a doujinshi for Kyou showing Tsurugigozen's heart being violated by Fumus. 9. Hitoki Hitoki is Satanick's ninth subordinate. 10. Dokugai Dokugai is Satanick's tenth subordinate.
