Yuri

Appearance

Yuri has dark skin and wears a grey suit and glasses that cover his golden yellow eyes. He has short, curly blonde hair, and a very neat and organized appearance. He always maintained a smiling face, which made others have trouble deciphering what he was thinking. It's a secret, but Yuri has a piercing in her tongue and nipples. She usually doesn't take them out since they can't be seen. She also has piercings in her ears and one in her lip, but she only wears her ear and lip piercings on her days off from work.

Personality

As Dr. Aris's personal assistant, Yuri proved to be a very organized, punctual and quick-witted man who spoke in a polite tone and was completely loyal to her. He took care of all her political affairs and bureaucratic paperwork, even collecting "souvenirs" on her behalf that were specifically tailored to her tastes. However, this image and "loyalty" was later revealed to be false with the revelation that his true loyalty was to Dr. Crombel, on whose behalf he frequently spied. His true personality was manipulative, but he frequently hid it behind a fake smile and a polite tone in order to fool people. Yuri was also shown to be very intelligent, as she correctly deduced that Takeo and Tao had not only survived, but had likely joined forces with Frankenstein as well. She had a habit of frequently correcting the position of her glasses while speaking. Additionally, Yuri seemed to have connections with many members of the Union. This could be due to her position as Dr. Aris' assistant, which may have required interactions with them, or her position as a spy, but it is unknown. After meeting Seira at the official meeting of the elders and nobles, he developed a one-sided crush on her. However, such a crush does not make him any friendlier or less murderous.

According to Tao's information, Yuri was known to be Dr. Aris's faithful personal assistant, who accompanied her everywhere and was responsible for all paperwork and communications. He was also the one usually sent to retrieve "souvenirs" (i.e. human subjects), which Dr. Aris was likely to experiment on; However, this was revealed to be a lie, as his true loyalty lay with Dr. Crombel.

Overview of history

Yuri first appeared with Dr. Aris to investigate the annihilation of DA-5. Trusted by Aris, she accompanied her everywhere and followed her orders to the letter. When Aris failed to find any clues as to who killed DA-5, he asked Yuri to find him a specimen. Yuri set out to find someone suitable, and stumbled upon Frankenstein. He used his powers to hypnotize him (though it had no effect on Frankenstein, who only acted to find information) and brought him to Aris. However, Raizel's text gave away that Frankenstein had been acting; it came as quite a shock to Yuri as his methods had never failed before. A fight broke out, and Yuri discovered that his opponent was stronger than he had thought. Dr. Aris took over the fight using her nanosuit, but collapsed as soon as she allowed herself to take the refined version of D. Yuri observed her failure and showed off a bit of his power to get his way, revealing that he had been holding back his powers all along. Yuri took Aris' body to Dr. Crombel, whom he originally served, and told him everything that had happened to him. On Crombel's orders, Yuri kept quiet about the events and did not even let the Union know what had happened. This time, Yuri came as a guide with Cerberus, who had come to investigate Crombel's activities and the crater created during Frankenstein and Rael's fight. He helped them coordinate with the KSA, helping them find their way around the area he knew well. Meanwhile, he himself continued to investigate individually and confirmed his presumption about the existence of the Tao. He guessed that Frankenstein might be behind the incident. However, he hid his findings from the Cerberus members. His real mission was to frame the twelfth elder. So, he called him to wreak havoc in the KSA in order to ruin the Elder's position within the Union. (+)

(+)He informed the remaining Cerberus members about the Elder's dispatch so they rushed to join in and stop the battles started by their teammates in different parts of the city. Another part of his mission was to bring a Cerberus sample to Crombel, which he accomplished when he made his sudden assault on Yuizi. He attacked her from behind, preventing her from doing anything, and gathered the intended sample. He watched as Tao and Takeo overpowered Lutai and later arrived at his side after the duo left. He rejoiced at being able to collect another sample from a Cerberus member after informing Lutai of his true mission and intentions; though he killed him before obtaining his body. Yuri was called to South Korea once again to serve as a guide for the 10th and 11th Elders. He was partnered with Bonerre, who was also a spy for Crombel. Together they witnessed the meeting between the Elders and the Lukedonian representatives: Seira and Regis. He was awed by Seira's presence, beauty, and power, and instantly fell in love with her. Later, Yuri caught Tao and Takeo planting misleading evidence to frame Crombel and subdued them both with Bonerre's help. He asked Bonerre to hide their bodies while he went on a separate mission. Yuri fulfilled an additional duty of contacting Mark, another of his comrades who had infiltrated Frankenstein's place as M-24. He brought Mark back to his senses and rushed him to finish his job, which Mark did. Yuri then returned to protect the bound captives. He complained about his own state of always being overworked, not receiving any vacations and such to distract himself. He expressed his growing feelings for Seira, which the audience duo (Tao and Takeo) quickly dismissed. At this, Yuri became enraged and beat them up to satisfy himself. (+)

(+)After Raizel and others wiped out the Elders, Bonerre was forced to lead Frankenstein and Seira to the place where Tao and Takeo were being held captive. Yuri saw them coming and fled. With Bonerre dead and the captives freed, Yuri reported to Crombel while Mark finished his mission and returned. Under Crombel's orders, Yuri hid from the Union and others for some time. The Elders incident caused the Union to declare war on Lukedonia and three more Elders to come to Korea to start it. Dr. Crombel once again called Yuri and assigned her the task of collecting the remaining data from Frankenstein's lab. This time she was joined by Mark and Kalvin. She was worried that the opponents were on alert, but Mark came up with a plan to get the data brought to them. It involved the children luring M-21 into bringing the data back. The bait trick worked and the RKs responded to their summons and arrived at Ye Ran's grounds. However, as per Tao's plan, RK managed to draw out the children and confronted Yuri and his companions. Fights broke out on the school premises and Yuri was fighting Takeo while his teammates were facing Regis and M-21. In a nearly even fight, Kalvin tricked RK into taking his poison. Yuri commented on the incredible noble powers upon seeing Regis resist the poison and mentioned Seira. Just then Rael arrived, furious at the modified humans for speaking Seira's name. Yuri was caught off guard by Rael's anger, who was further manipulated by Tao against Yuri. The assassins decided to retreat following the loss of Kalvin. Yuri was hired to escort Muzaka during the former Werewolf Lord's visit to the human world where Raizel lived. He also planted false traces to mislead the werewolves who were sent by the Second Elder to assassinate Muzaka. (+)

(+) Much later, Yuri asked Mark for help in locating Dr. Aris, who had gone out without permission. Yuri and Mark found Aris in South Korea, where she became fascinated with Shinwoo. Yuri asked Aris to leave her, but she refused, so he calmed her down by letting her take Shinwoo. However, M-21 interfered and after their battle, Yuri's hopes for an easy victory were shattered when M-21 easily defeated him, Aris, and Mark in a matter of minutes. They were saved by the arrival of Muzaka and the four returned to Crombel's hideout. Later, after Crombel had fought the 1st Elder, there were five explosions in Seoul. M-21 ran to one of the scenes and fought Yuri. It ended inconclusively. It was later revealed when Yuri returned to Crombel that he would soon die due to him being extensively modified, giving him power equivalent to that of an Elder.

Relations

Seira J. Loyard - Yuri met and fell in love with Seira due to her poise, beauty, and immense power. He thought to himself that he might actually fall in love with her and described her as a fascinating woman. When he had subdued Takeo, he asked him if he knew "the beautiful Ms. Loyard". He admitted that he couldn't stop thinking about her, meaning that he yearned for her. However, it was completely one-sided. Later on, he seemed to forget about his crush entirely. 12th Elder: While working with Dr. Aris, I got to know him. Assassination Squad: They were his colleagues and he seemed to act casually around them. Cerberus: He guided them in South Korea and they knew of him because Aris was also under the command of the 12th Elder. Yuizi praised his skills, so they seemed to have respect for him, even if they also thought he was weaker than them. Dr. Aris: At first he seemed loyal to him, but that was an act. Later he acted more naturally, probably because he was no longer his superior. Dr. Crombel: He was part of the assassination squad that served Crombel. He was often shown reporting to Crombel and acted politely towards him. Despite this, Crombel seemed to know him well and knew how he felt when he asked if Yuri had let go of his anger. DA-5: He was the main means of communication between them and Dr. Aris. They seemed to respect him, although Takeo and Tao became his enemies after they left the Union. M-21: He always considered M-21 to be an inferior being and a mere test subject. Because of this, when he was later beaten by him, he felt deep humiliation and resentment, which made him seek revenge. He went so far as to obtain enhancements even though this greatly shortened his life. Muar and Rostere: Yuri guided them when they went to Seoul. Muzaka: Since Crombel worked with Muzaka, Yuri knew him, although there was no deep relationship between them.

Powers and abilities

Yuri possessed some powerful abilities, but it is unknown how he achieved such power. Frankenstein suggested that he was hiding his power and that he was actually even stronger than Dr. Aris. He could cut buildings in half with ease, was fast enough to disappear in seconds, and even created a force field to protect himself and Dr. Aris from Frankenstein's attacks. Yuri also seemed to be good at escaping from opponents, as he was able to get away from Frankenstein while taking Dr. Aris with him. Aura manipulation He could shoot greenish-white energy beams from his fingertips by channeling his aura with great precision. These rays had the absolute power to pass through dozens of large buildings, vaporizing everything in their path. He shot Yuizi, a member of Cerberus, from behind, inflicting a wound that also prevented him from regenerating.[24] Yuri also demonstrated the ability to create force fields. Gas manipulation It was shown that he could release and manipulate some type of gas from his palms. According to Frankenstein, Yuri used it to attack and control the mind. Dr. Crombel's Enhancements Like Aris, Yuri willingly allowed Crombel to further modify him and grant him more upgrades to give him more power, implying that his strength was now comparable to that of a Union Elder, similar to Aris. However, as with Aris, the modifications they made to him had several flaws despite increasing his power. Aris stated that Yuri's body would likely suffer several painful side effects from the modifications, such as his lifespan being shorter. It was stated that these side effects would likely kill Yuri regardless of how strong he became. Furthermore, despite the improvements made by Crombel, it was shown that he was still not strong enough to defeat M-21.

Friendships

Kalvin. Originally they were only going to be coworkers, since they are both part of Dr. Crombel's assassination squad. However, when Kalvin arrived at the union, he was practically a child, and Yuri was tasked with guiding him so to speak, they ended up forming a great friendship. Kalvin considers Yuri as an older brother, he practically grew up with him and the rest of those who form Dr. Crombel's assassination squad, so it is normal for Kalvin to call them brothers, mainly Yuri. Aside from calling Yuri brother, he also tends to call him Yuu affectionately. Kalvin always had several problems with depression and had tried to end his life on several occasions, but Yuri always stopped him. Kalvin has now promised Yuri that he would not commit suicide.
