When Aether arrived in the world, he arrived with his twin sister Lumine. When he arrived, he was the one who woke up first. He decided to let his sister sleep and travel and explore the world. He had done something that made Celestia angry, which caused the destruction of the world. where they had awakened (the destruction of Khaenri'ah 500 years ago destroyed by Celestia), when the world was destroyed, he went to awaken his sister Lumine and they both fought against the unknown goddess who took away their powers and the wings they possessed and took Aether, Aether watched as the world was destroyed while the goddess left her sister and put Lumine into a deep sleep for around 500 years, then Aether became the prince and leader of the abyss, when Lumine woke up, she woke up in a new teyvat, a new and unknown world, she met her traveling companion paimon and traveled through teyvat, becoming a strong warrior and strong heroine known throughout teyvat and famous for her actions and history, searching for her brother aether and wanting to save him from the clutches of the abyss.

Aether has a vendetta against the divine after concluding his journey through Teyvat for unknown reasons. While the initial wave of monsters was eventually suppressed, hilichurls continue to appear throughout Teyvat.

Both brothers have blond hair, a slim build, golden yellow eyes, and fair skin. They appear to be physically in their teens, being shorter than adults but taller than most children.
