Backstory

"Mikasa lived with her Mother and Father in the farmlands of Wall Maria to the age of nine until her parents were murdered by bandits. Mikasa was rescued by Eren but even then she killed one of three bandits when Eren was nearly killed saving her. She lived with Eren and his parents for approximately one year before the Fall of Wall Maria. Her adoptive father disappeared around this point leaving only her adoptive mother to care for her and Eren. During the Fall of Wall Maria her adoptive mother was killed by titans. During childhood Mikasa has constantly protected Eren. She's trained her body to protect him and even fought bullies for him. Even though Mikasa desires only to live a peaceful life with Eren, Mikasa chose to follow him into the military—where she is considered the best soldier among the 104th Cadet Corps. She later joined the Scout Regiment to continue following and protecting Eren. Mikasa's relationship to Eren stems further than romantic love. It's something that not even she can explain, but besides what Eren has done for her, she wants to always be by his side."
