Persona Attributes

Val

Valentina "Val" Ortiz is a character from Inside Out 2. She is a high school hockey player, the captain of the Firehawks, and the popular girl in school whom everyone, including Riley and her friends, look up to. Background Physical appearance Val is a tanned-skinned Cuban-Mexican girl who has brown eyes and dark brown wavy hair with some red streaks. Her usual outfit consists of a loose, blue, long-sleeved shirt rolled unevenly over her right shoulder, revealing a black strap with a grey line on the outer edge. It also consists of long black soles that are similarly rolled unevenly along with grey, black, white, and pink tennis shoes as well as red eyeshadow. Additionally, she wears a gold necklace with her name on the front along with gold earrings in both of her lower ears and gold piercings in her upper right ear. When on the ice, she wears her hockey camp jersey uniform with her hair in a low ponytail and no makeup. She is 18 years old.

Riley

Background Personality Riley is generally a curious, intelligent, and nice girl with a passion for hockey. Riley's emotions contribute to her main behaviors in the film. For much of her childhood, she was a very cheerful, playful, joking, and even somewhat clumsy girl. However, as a teenager, Riley becomes more sentimental, shy, and unsure of herself as her other emotions begin to change. When her family moves to San Francisco, she begins to feel more worried, upset, and lonely. Her emotions at this point try to help her adjust to the new life. Riley may doubt herself, but she doesn't always regret her actions. Riley really misses Minnesota and can't cope with the transition. However, Riley is afraid to tell her parents her true feelings because they want her to accept the new home and because she has always been their "happy little girl." However, as time goes on, Riley becomes emotionally vulnerable, entering a sort of numb state of mind and reaching the point where she attempts to run away, almost losing herself in the process. But it is here that she realises that she had almost given up on the things that matter most to her in life and realises the risk just in time. Returning home and admitting to her parents that she is very depressed, she learns to accept San Francisco as her parents comfort her over the personal loss, and Riley (with the guidance of her emotions) eventually adjusts to her new home in San Francisco. APPEARANCE She has very light freckles around her nose and also has a noticeable gap between her two front teeth. Riley has a wide nose like both of her parents, although hers is a bit round. Her hair has a small fringe directed to the right. In the second film, when she is now thirteen years old, her hair becomes lighter blonde and has grown longer, and she puts it up in a ponytail.
