Biography
Reina is a high school student at Mishima Polytechnic School. She understands that Heihachi Mishima is her father. Reina entered the Asian preliminaries of the eighth King of Iron Fist tournament. At the arena, she met Jin Kazama, Heihachi's grandson, and introduced herself to him. Jin ignored her, but they faced each other in the semi-finals. Reina knew that the Mishima-Style Fighting Karate she used in battle had contributed to the awakening of Jin's devilish powers in the hands of Heihachi in the past. During their fight, Jin's powers activated and Reina concluded that the "threat of death" was key to unlocking the devil's power. She then lost the match, having seen everything she needed. Later, she approached Jin in the arena again and told him that she wanted to help him defeat Kazuya Mishima. Jin was suspicious of her intentions, given her fighting style, but she dismissed her concerns. Reina accompanied Jin back to the Yggdrasil base. She was present at a meeting where Niklas Kliesen divulged additional information about the nature of the devil gene. Reina joined Yggdrasil and the United Nations forces to storm the coliseum where the next round of the King of Iron Fist Tournament was taking place. She faced Kazuya in his True Devil form in single combat. Although she was ultimately defeated by him, she proved to be durable enough to survive the encounter despite being hit by one of his laser attacks.
Reina returned to the Yggdrasil base and accompanied them to Yakushima to fight Kazuya Mishima's G Corporation forces. During this battle, Reina met Nina Williams, whose background she knew. The two fought and Nina recognized that Reina was connected to the Mishimas. Reina asked Nina to work for her; Nina replied that she would not object, but only after her vacation was over. Devil Kazuya returned to the battlefield to eliminate the fighting forces, firing lasers indiscriminately and eliminating swaths of soldiers. Reina deliberately stood in the path of a large laser, with her arms outstretched, intending to activate her own diabolical powers by putting herself at risk of death. Some time later, she woke up on the battlefield with glowing red irises. She later rose from the rubble and assumed her demon form.
Personality
Reina exudes a charismatic sense of evil, reflecting her character's duality in both personality and fighting style. When she interacts with other people, Reina maintains a friendly demeanor, but she drops her facade when she confronts other members of the Mishima lineage family, namely Kazuya Mishima. However, like other members of the Mishima family, Reina has inherited an arrogant and self-confident personality.
Appearance
Reina is a young woman with a small build. Her hair is cut into a short, messy bob, with purple tips that fade into her natural black. Her main clothing is sporty with an emphasis on style and practicality.
History
TEKKEN 8: Reina, the Purple Lightning, is using her fast movements to overwhelm her opponents. She is shrouded in mystery as the only known fact about her is that she is a student at Mishima Polytechnic High School. She also seems to have a very particular interest in Jin, especially in fighting him. Meet Reina, the mysterious fighter who uses lightning-fast movements to overwhelm anyone who dares to face her. Aside from the fact that she is a student at Mishima Polytechnic High School, everything else about her is shrouded in mystery. Character Episode Prologue: Reina, the secret daughter of Heihachi Mishima, attended Mishima Polytechnic School. He loved and respected his father, whom he also saw as a role model. But Heihachi disappeared after his defeat by Kazuya Mishima. The now headless Mishima Zaibatsu held a new King of Iron Fist Tournament to elect a new head of the organization. Reina entered the tournament to take over the Mishima Zaibatsu and continue his father's legacy. "I promise you, Father. I will make the Mishima Zaibatsu mine."
Final description: Reina sits on a throne inside a dojo, with Jin and Victor standing at her sides massaging her hands. Kuma stands at her right side, arms crossed, acting as a bodyguard, and lines of Yggdrasil line the perimeter of the dojo. Lars and Lee enter the dojo, escorting with them Kazuya Mishima, who is chained and engulfed in a blue flame. She stops the hand massage she is receiving, and Lars and Lee force Kazuya to kneel in front of Reina. Reina comments, "What a pathetic sight," and continues with, "So that's the answer the world has shoved down our throats." In response to this, Kazuya becomes enraged and breaks free from his chains, slamming Lars and Lee's heads together before attacking Reina. He is stopped by Kuma, who punches him, before Reina finishes him off with an axe kick. As Kazuya looks at her, Reina comments, "You think you're all high and mighty!" before stomping on his back. She then says, "Know your place, dog!", to which the others around her snap to attention. Pushing Kazuya out of the way, Reina moves towards the large double doors on the side of the dojo. Lee and Lars open the doors for her and she stands on the balcony outside with each of the others standing in formation behind her to point out the moon in the night sky. Reina comments that she will "be the one to build the world anew," then says, "Heihachi, my father... Your legacy will live on through the ages!" She and Kuma then begin to laugh as the camera zooms in to show the moon once again, with Heihachi's face vaguely visible on its surface.
The scene then cuts to a close-up of Reina with her eyes closed. It is revealed that she is still in The King of Iron Fist Arena, entering the final fight of the tournament. She says "Just kidding." before walking forward, where Kazuya is waiting for her in the ring, and commenting that she "better put up a fight." The film fades out as the announcer calls out Kazuya's name. Summary of game events: Reina first approaches Jin Kazama in the halls of the arena, as they are both participating in The King of Iron Fist Tournament currently being held by Kazuya Mishima. She introduces herself as a student from Mishima Polytechnic School, but Jin ignores her and continues with his match. Reina and Jin finally meet in the ring, and Reina uses Mishima Style Fighting Karate, musing to herself as Jin reacts to the style and its similarity to Heihachi Mishima by unlocking a small portion of his Devil ability. Reina feigns defeat, allowing Jin to win the match, and then Jin approaches her and asks about the source of her knowledge of Mishima-Ryu. She claims to have learned the techniques from the Internet and asks to join Jin in defeating Kazuya. Reina is allowed to accompany Yggdrasil's forces, as she has an as yet unknown ulterior motive for wishing to do so. She joins Yggdrasil and the United Nations' joint attack on the coliseum where the upcoming tournament matches are to take place, and after Kazuya absorbs Azazel's power and becomes the true Devil Kazuya, Reina remains alongside Victor Chevalier, Claudio Serafino, Lars Alexandersson, Alisa Bosconovitch, Hwoarang, and Lee Chaolan to stop him and allow Jin to escape to Yakushima.
Reina and Kazuya are finally able to fight in isolation from the others, and Reina proves so resilient that Kazuya is momentarily shocked. He also recognizes her use of the Mishima style, but does not hesitate to try to kill her anyway. She survives Kazuya's attack, and after he flees, she continues on alongside Yggdrasil and the United Nations forces to stop Kazuya's attack on Yakushima. During this battle, Reina meets Nina Williams and seems to know her. After the two fight, Nina seems to understand Reina's origins, but before this is made clear, the weapon Nina had been preparing arrives on the island to fight Yggdrasil and the United Nations soldiers. Reina asks Nina to work for her, to which Nina replies that she would not object to it, but only after she has finished her vacation. Devil Kazuya returns to the battlefield to eliminate combat forces, firing lasers indiscriminately and taking out swathes of soldiers. Reina finds herself in the path of the large laser, arms outstretched, and takes a direct hit. She is later shown lying on the ground, injured, before her eyes open and reveal her red irises. After Jin and Kazuya's final fight, Reina is shown once again, rising from the rubble of Kazuya's attack. She swears on Heihachi's name that she will achieve her goals, before transforming into her own devilish form.
fighting style
Reina's fighting style is a mix of Taido and Mishima-style karate. She uses a special move called Sentai to quickly close distance and launch attacks, while Unsoku allows her to launch powerful attacks with agile footwork, demonstrating a fast and aggressive approach to combat. Furthermore, Reina has somehow acquired techniques such as Wind God Fist, Thunder God Fist, and Spinning Demon synonymous with Mishima-style karate, and even exhibits a powerful fighter appearance, offering powerful fast moves.
Relations
Jin Kazama: Her nephew. Reina refers to him as "Jin-senpai" as they were both students at the same school. Jin, however, does not know who she really is. Kazuya Mishima: His older half-brother. Like Jin, Kazuya doesn't know Reina, but she does know him. Reina seems to hold a grudge against him for killing Heihachi. Lars Alexandersson: Her older half-brother. She teamed up with him and Jin to help defeat Kazuya. He currently doesn't know who she really is. Heihachi Mishima: Reina idolizes her father Heihachi and wishes to carry on his legacy. It is unclear what, if any, Heihachi's feelings were in return. Lee Chaolan: Her older adoptive brother. She teamed up with Lee along with Jin seemingly only as a means to take down Kazuya and learn more about the activation of the Devil Gene. It is unclear if he knows of her intentions or who she really is. Kuma II: Reina has a special dialogue with Kuma asking him to help her to confuse the bear. Nina Williams: Reina fought her in Story Mode, apparently having prior knowledge of Nina and her abilities. Nina eventually realizes Reina's connection to the Mishimas. Jun Kazama: Reina seems to have a great dislike for Jun, referring to her as a "disgusting woman" in her victory pose.
