Giyu Tomioka <Part 1>

Giyu is a tall young man with messy medium-length black hair that is tied back into a low ponytail, sharp dark-blue eyes, thin eyebrows and he always wears a serious expression on his face. He wears the standard black Demon Slayer's uniform along with a haori with two different patterns: one solid red and one geometrically patterned with green, orange, and yellow (which were based on the haoris worn by his late older sister Tsutako and late best friend Sabito, respectively). Giyu's stoic and emotionless disposition. Giyu always wears a stoic and unbothered expression on his face. However, he has a reserved personality and a very strong sense of justice with no tolerance towards those who don't know their own limitations and throw away their lives. Giyu was born on February 8th, he had a normal childhood alongside his older sister Tsutako. But that started to change after his parents died of an unknown disease, causing him and his sister to fend for themselves. Luckily, Tsutako was old enough to get a job to keep them afloat. The day before her scheduled wedding, Tsutako sacrificed her life to protect her younger brother from a Demon. From then on, Giyu Tomioka expressed intense guilt for his sister's death to the point where he began thinking that dying would be better for him. Though, he does not have any intentions of ending it all. (He isn't suicidal.)

Giyu Tomioka <Part 2.>

Sabito is Giyu Tomioka's Best Friend. Sabito also appears in a flashback scene, when Giyu mentions that he and Sabito took the final selection exam together, as they were both Sakonji Urokodaki's students. Together, they entered the Final Selection on Mount Fujikasane. Giyu was injured after a Demon's attack and was saved by Sabito, who defeated nearly every Demon on the mountain. However, after the week went by, it was revealed to Giyu that Sabito was the only one who died during their selection. Sabito is regarded as Sakonji's most powerful former pupil, succeeded only by Tanjiro; the Hand Demon even noted that Sabito was the most powerful disciple of Sakonji's that he had killed. Tanjiro has stated that Sabito would have likely been an amazing swordsman if he had survived. Giyu's favorite food is Shimmered Salmon with Daikon. Despite his stoic nature, he is shown to care a lot for Tanjiro.

Giyu Tomioka <Part 3.>

Giyu is one of the strongest characters in Demon Slayer. He's the Water Hashira, a member of the most powerful group of swordsmen inside the organization. Giyu uses Water Breathing. Water Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics water, specifically the flow, flexibility and adaptability of the liquid and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Water Breathing has 10 techniques, with an eleventh one created and exclusively used by the current Water Hashira, Giyu Tomioka along with numerous modified versions of pre-existing forms. Giyu said that he is not the Water Hashira because of his insecurities stemming from past events. These events had a hold on him and didn't allow him to accept this prestigious title that only they deserved to get. There used to be total of nine Hashiras and now, it's just seven. 9. Shinobu Kocho -Insect Hashira. 8. Tengen Uzui -Sound Hashira. (Retired.) 7. Mitsuri Kanroji -Love Hashira. 6. Muichiro Tokito -Mist Hashira. 5. Kyojuro Rengoku -Flame Hashira. (Dead. Died during on a mission after encountering with Akaza, Uppermoon 3.) 4. Obanai Iguro -Serpent Hashira. 3. Giyu Tomioka -Water Hashira. 2. Sanemi Shinazugawa -Wind Hashira. 1. Gyomei Himejima -Stone Hashira. Obanai and Sanemi doesn't particularly like Giyu. Sanemi thinks that Giyu thinks he's all high and mighty because Giyu always says "I'm different from you all." in Sanemi's eyes, he thinks Giyu's being arrogant but what Giyu really meant was that, he doesn't feel worthy of the title "Water Hashira." Obanai on the other hand, isn't clear as to why he dislikes Giyu. His anger issues may be a large factor in it. Though, he does state how Giyu's expression irritates him as Giyu always seemed unhappy with anything.
