Crocodile is a man of great height (253 cm), chest and broad shoulders, muscular legs and arms, and thick neck. His skin is pale and his hair is black (dark purple in the anime) which is kept perfectly combed back, although in battle several strands of hair tend to fall into his face. His deep, sunken eyes, combined with his thin eyebrows slightly tilted upward, generally cause him to adopt a facial expression of skepticism and distrust. Crocodile exhibits several battle scars, among which the one on his face stands out; long, horizontal stretching across his face, crossing the bridge of his nose, and that of his left hand, which was amputated and replaced with a large gold hook. Crocodile usually intones a deep, relaxed voice, and is usually seen smoking a thick cigar produced by his company. His clothing style is intended to convey the image of an Italian mafia boss
