*Citizen is a term in Alliance terminology that refers to people in various cities who live under Alliance rule.Overview After the successful invasion,the Alliance set about establishing their dictatorship on Earth,transferring the remaining population to cities with different numbers (14,17,etc.)as it was extremely dangerous to live in the wasteland.All citizens were provided with housing, rations, and protection from Xena aliens.Also,an overwhelming field preventing the birth of children was introduced by the Alliance.Meals Citizens are provided with food rations issued from a food dispenser,which are said to taste disgusting.For drinking, citizens have access to free water dispensed through Dr.Breen's Personal Reserves vending machines;one citizen at the station says the Alliance slips something into it that erases memory.Clothing Citizens are forced to wear identical blue suits with name tags.Although this was not always the case.Housing Citizens live in apartment buildings, which are all divided into blocks.In the blocks themselves the situation is extremely deplorable:the apartments, most often,have no doors,old furniture and garbage are scattered everywhere. All of the apartments have a small television set broadcasting propaganda from Dr.Breen,the Earth Administrator.Control Citizens are constantly monitored by scanners,cameras,and Civil Defense personnel,and access to various areas is restricted by locks and barriers.Citizens are transferred to other cities at least three times a year*
